One of my favorite ways to customize my game is custom Sims 4 loading screens.
You guys know I am all about aesthetics. And swapping out my loading screen for my gameplay, my mood, or even the season or world I’m playing in adds so much immersion and fun detail!
MM - Lover Girl Pack (Main menu and Loading screen)
My man My man My man My baby My babyyyy!!!!! I'm loving this side of her fr
Had to do this for the first day of February!! Ok here's the run down:
You must choose your Splash screen as you can only have one installed!
You must download the Noir Tip replacements because without them you won't be able to see a damn thing as seen here. Can't even see that it says "OK" LMAOOO
You must choose which main menu you want visible. I recommend downloading Scandisim's Clean Main Menu v2.0 base.package to have that clean effect pictured above. If you have it installed already download the Clean main menu version of the mod, otherwise download the regular MM - Lover Girl Main Menu.package file which looks like this
If you use my standalone you will no longer be able to press "T" to hide sims portraits, but you will with the other version. Sometimes they show up, and sometimes they don't. It's like a game of peek-a-boo LMAO
and
*REMEMBER YOU CAN ONLY HAVE 1 MAIN MENU OVERRIDE IN THE MODS FOLDER AT A TIME! REMOVE ANY OTHER MAIN MENU OVERRIDE YOU HAVE BEFORE USING THIS ONE!
S/N: Photo may look different as I am using G-shade in my game.
Reminder - Only install ONE Custom Load Screen & ONE Plumbob Replacement at a time. Simply download and drop the package files into your Mods folder.

Custom Loading Screens and Music - A Sims2RPC Plug-In
If you start your game with the "Sims2RPC Mod Launcher" by Lazy Duchess AND you want custom loading screens and/or music à la the "LoadingRandomizer2" launcher by greatcheesecakepersona but are struggling to get them to play nicely together, this plug-in may be for you.
If you don't start your game via Sims2RPC.exe from Lazy Duchess, this plug-in is definitely not for you!
This plug-in for Sims2RPC incorporates the random loading screen and random splash music functionality of the "LoadingRandomizer2". This means that you can continue launching your game via Sims2RPC while enjoying random bespoke loading screens and music.
It also adds the ability to link a piece of music to a specific loading screen, enabling you to theme the screen and music together.
Why Do This?
Sims2RPC is a launcher for The Sims 2 that supports plug-in extensions. Current extensions include support for First-born Syndrome Fix, Separates 4 All, Height Mod, etc.
Using another launcher to first copy a random loading screen or music file and then launch the Sims2RPC launcher seems overly complicated and error-prone, when the "first copy a random loading screen or music file" functionality can be written as a Sim2RPC extension.
Installation
Installation is non-trivial and requires any custom loading screens to be uninstalled first. Full details are given on the web page.
This set includes six loading screens showing 17th/18th century drawings (and one etching) with architectural designs, mostly for stage sets of theatre and opera scenes.
Perfect to create a fitting atmosphere for some historical gameplay or provide inspiration for building!
Download here (Google Drive, free)
You can download them seperately or all together in a zip.file. Please make sure to only place ONE loading screen in your mods folder at a time!
Please let me know if you encounter any issues!
You can find details about the artworks I used (and some rambling about how this set came together) under the cut:
From left to right and top to bottom:
01 - Giovanni Battista Natali III, Double Stairway Pierced by an Arcade, 18th Century, Met Museum New York
02 - Anonymous (Italian), Design for a Ceiling, 17th Century, Met Museum New York
03 - Carlo Zucchi the Younger, Design for an Opera Set, a Congress of Cupids, 18th Century, Met Museum New York
04 - Mathäus Küsel (after Ludovico Ottaviano Burnacini), Theatrical Scene with Four Figures on a Staircase in the Distance, Two of Which are Engaged in a Brawl, ca. 1660-82, Met Museum New York
05 - Giovanni Maria Quaglio I, Design for a Stage Set, 18th century, Met Museum New York
06 - Filippo Juvarra, The Courtyard of a Palace: Project for a Stage, 1713, Getty Museum, Los Angeles
Just as last time, the links lead to the paintings in the respective museum’s online collection, in case you want to know more details or take a closer look at them without the plumbob in the way.
In some cases, I had to reduce the brightness of the original pictures a little bit to have a better contrast with the white font of the loading screen, but otherwise the images were not altered.
This pack has been sitting on my pc as a wip for about ten months...
As I had to update my other set of loading screens anyway I figured I could just as well re-do and finish these while I was at it. Which took way longer than expected because of that self-induced file size issue, but this time I checked everything twice and twice again to make sure nothing's off. And here we are!
