Top 3 Chocobo GP Thumbnails!

You’ll be unsurprised to learn that the Grin Brother’s playthrough of Chocobo GP, a racing game with a story, didn’t turn out to be long. My brother ended up only having to make 8 thumbnails (though he did draw one himself) for it and thus I had a smaller collection that usual to pick out a top 3 from. Here they are though:

someone HALP I’ve been trying to use SnowStorm’s Custom Icons for Accessories tutorial but on some sideburns. I really want to be able to have some facial hair with a custom icon/thumbnail so I can see what the heck I am putting on a sim. But! The tutorial is not working. I’d assumed that a tutorial to include a custom icon for a facial accessory would be similar (and applicable) to that for facial hair, but maybe I’m wrong? I’ve done everything the tutorial says - the icon is added to the file in SimPE as a  jpg/png/tga image, copied the Group id from a 3IDR file and added it to the jpt/tga/png Image resource, dragged the image over to the  3D ID Referencing File (3IDR) and committed, fixed the Binary Index... WHAT GIVES. ETA 2/24: @goingsimcrazy added some very useful comments and I am going to do some investigation on this, and see if this is possible: I think maybe some of the info is different. Sideburns use TextureOverlay and not MeshOverlay, and the layering in the 3DIR is different. The Iconidx counts the placement in the 3DIR the icon is in. I'm not entirely sure if you can have custom thumbs for beards/sideburns. I've never seen it, but you can always try, though. The "Texture overlay" ones are not quite the same as accessories - they're more like a meshed (or not?) overlay of sorts, depending on whether there is a mesh or if there's just a texture overlay. Most of them are just texture overlays. Some of the beards are kind of "hybrids", at least the EAxis ones.

Sooo...I uploaded my custom thumbnail for my Carebears dub (of a carebear saying "FUCK!" in a speech bubble lol)- I wasn't sure whether to do this as it may ruin the joke (the video is supposed to take you by surprise when you hear them swearing & stuff lol) but the title already says "NSFW" which somewhat gives it away. I was doing this (letting people know it's not for kids) because of the COPPA thing- cartoons attract kids apparently (even X rated cartoon Fritz the Cat got labelled as kids content just because it's a cartoon lol). The thumbnail is kinda funny, not sure if it's copying pimpedpistols lol, you'll have to go to my OldworkbyEmmaCRB channel to see it

New Thumbnail Overlay for all my CC!

I held a recent poll and the people have spoken! Custom thumbnail time!

All my custom content has been updated to include a custom thumbnail overlay. The logo above will be on all my creations (as well as a border). Hopefully this will make it a bit easier to find my content! I wanted make the thumbnail difference subtle enough to look good with the CAS catalog but distinct enough to stick out when you’re scrolling through.

Hope you guys like it! If you’ve downloaded my items in the past and want the updated thumbnail you can get everything from my downloads page.

Let me know if you have any issues! I plan to continue using this custom thumbnail on all my future content. 🙂 

(Also, I did not update the Sylvia Dress thumbnail because there was some weird shadow stuff happening. I would rather leave it without an icon than have that annoyingness in your catalog, lol).
