Do you believe in old man and/or middle aged sufi religious,. Master and pupil Historical yaoi?
I must tell you of this, (its going to be long one,bear with me mutual)
"You've taken away my looks, my identity, by just a glance.
By making me drink the wine of love-potion,
You've intoxicated me by just a glance;
My fair, delicate wrists with green bangles in them,
Have been held tightly by you with just a glance.
I give my life to you, Oh my cloth-dyer,
You've dyed me in yourself, by just a glance.
I give my whole life to you Oh, Nijam,
You've made me your bride, by just a glance."
Amir khusro's (1253-1323) poem about Nizamuddin Auliya (his spiritual master) . he made himself into a woman? HES A BRIDE NOW? do you see???
"What a glow everywhere I see, Oh mother, what a glow;
I’ve found the beloved, yes I found him,
I have found my pir Nizamuddin Aulia.
I roamed around the entire world,
looking for an ideal beloved;
And finally this face has enchanted my heart.
The whole world has been opened for me,
Never seen a glow like this before.
Whenever I see now, he is with me,
Oh beloved, please dye me in yourself;
Dye me in the colour of the spring, beloved;
What a glow, Oh, what a glow."
Dye me in yourself. This aint your average student teacher boys love story folks,these people are revered as saints!!!
"Beholding your appearance, Oh Nijaam
I offer myself in sacrifice.
Amongst all the girls, my scarf is the most soiled,
Look, the girls are laughing at me.
This spring, please dye my scarf for me,
Oh Nijaam, protect my honour.
In the name of Ganj-e Shakar (Nizamuddin Aulia's pir) ,
Protect my honour, Oh beloved Nijaam.
Qutab and Farid have come in the wedding procession,
And Khusrau is the loving bride, Oh Nijaam.
Some have to fight with the mother-in-law,
While some with sisters-in-law,
But I have you for support, Oh Nijaam"
Qutab ans Farid are like his classmates (religous style. They probly share a Pir with Amir (Nijam)
This isnt even rhe last time this guy wrote about marrying Nijam. Gay people amirite
Jalaluddin Rumi (the muslim poet the west whitewashed by removing every bit of islam in his poetry) also wrote some gay shit about his best fruend/ spritual master (why is it always spritual masters?!) that disappeard one night but Rumi also wrote about other topics and j dont wanr to. Dig it up right now
I was listening to Nusrat Fatih Ali khan (as one does) when i stumbled upon this:
"I'm lost in the thoughts of my beloved
I know not where I'm going
I find myself drowned in the moment of meeting my beloved
I know not where i'm going
I'm the slave of that beautious face
I'm a prisoner of those long tresses......
My beloved's name has intoxicated me "
Beautiful. He is more obscure than Amir so im not sure if his beloved is a man or a women but lets just pretend its man ( all his works are in persian 😭😭😭)
Im like a fujoshi but aromantic ( ew romance but if its Amir Khusro and Njjam rhen. Im fine)
Theres ofc more (especially Amir khusro,this guy has so many bisexual coded poems you wont believe) but its 12 am in the morning also im tired.
Sorry if this is badly worded :(
As much as I am a fujoshi about old man yaoi, I feel like a transfemme reading of khusro’s poem would be so interesting, especially to the referring to himself as a bride? And talking about being ‘amongst all the girls’ as if they are one single group… hmmm much to think about.
Also yes, I know rumi, I love rumi and I hate what white people have done to him. Like I haven’t read a lot of his poems but I think 13 year old me did have a vampire oc named after rumi. I do not remember much about her but I must bring her back now
