I have something important to tell you all. I have found something very, very concerning. As some of you may know, The CW has some series that can only be found online on a site called cwseed. I was looking for one such show today after seeing an ad on YouTube. But I found something even more intriguing, and more terrifying than what I would have ever expected.

I found Supernatural : The Anime Series

Of course I was surprised and wanted to learn more about what this possibly could be.

After clicking on the link, I was brought to the first episode, where I was greeting with my first glimpses of anime Sam and Dean.

After watching for a few minutes, I quickly realized this was simply a rewrite of the doppelgänger episode from the first season. In fact, most of the episodes available (there is one season with 22 episodes, each about 23 minutes long) were a various assortment of episodes from the first two seasons of the show. Though there are some exceptions, including an episode that focuses just on John Winchester and what he’s been getting up to.

In this still we can see a few recognizable episodes - Moonlight, with Madison the werewolf; In my Time of Dying, where Dean is in a coma following the car crash at the end of season 1; Savage Blood, in which Sam and Dean first meet Jason, the vampire hunter.

All while unraveling this information, I was listening to the first episode play out. And after a quick check, I confirmed that the only voice actor who was on the original show is Jared Padalecki. Another more horrifying realization from when I was searching for this information, was that this series was released in 2011. Only 6 years after the original show was created. This means that the anime series was in the works at the time of the 5th season, when the show was originally meant to end. So it is safe to say there will be no more Supernatural anime episodes.

At the very least, this is cursed. After half watching the first episode while making this post, I can conclude that it’s ok. It’s definitely not something I’d go looking for again, but it was a strange and pleasant surprise. It was worse than Scoobynatural, which was a masterpiece of animation and writing. I wish there was a trickster episode available, because I feel like it would be fun to watch in an animated format. But alas, they did not make any episodes from the third season or beyond.

I hope I have enlightened you, dear reader, on this subject. And I wish that this has brought you new, exciting Supernatural content. We have all been starved of it since Destiel became canon in the Spanish version. If you watch the show, tell me if you like it because I will not be watching anymore of it. I hope this post is a good start to your new year.

Holy shit.  HOLY SHIT! HOLY SHIT!!!!! GO WATCH DEATHSTROKE: KNIGHTS AND DRAGONS NOW!!!!!

I just watched it, and I AM IN LOVE!

For those who don’t know where to watch it, get the CW seed app on your phone, and you can watch it for free, just don’t mind the commercials!

Just this one episode did exactly everything that the original comics, present comics and other adaptations of Deathstroke in media couldn’t do!

And that was to really establish the problem between Deathstroke’s pride in his mercenary ways with his moral code! And how it effected the children and those around him! 

Like seriously!!!! (spoilers):

I hated Adeline so much in comics because she always placed the entire blame on Slade when some of the problems in their lives were also her own damn fault! She would just act really dramatic and immature, but CW animated Adeline was pure awesomeness! She felt like a real character with how forgiving but no nonsense she could act, making her a 100x more likable even if there were to be a plot twist later on in the series.  

And unlike Priest (ew), the affair with Lily was handled a 100000x better. Like shit, it happened while Adeline and Slade were engaged but also separated because he had shit to figure out because Slade wouldn’t do that in the middle of his marriage with a child!!!  

And the issue between Deathstroke and HIVE without the teen titans made things less complicated and all the more compelling to be involved in the story. It really took out all the unneeded extra stuff to create a very solid beginning.

Wintergreen loving and appreciating Slade for giving him adventure in his life, and being the best friend Slade could depend on bought back hope in my heart and solidified me as a fan of this 12 episode series. Like yes! BROMANCE! 

I’m sad that Grant wasn’t in this series, but then the entire episode felt like it took Grant’s character to inspire its creation. I mean Joseph is definitely a combination of Grant and Joseph from the comics, and then there’s the fact that the family became part of the HIVE due to Deathstroke’s decision to not join them.

The action and gore is definitely amazing to watch that I could watch Deathstroke fight for hours against multiple opponents.

And then there is Slade. Like goddamn, it’s only been 1 freaking episode, and yet it laid out perfectly the inner conflict that Slade is facing without being too secretive but also not obvious at the same time. Slade is a man who was built to be a killing machine but he still retains what keeps him human by keeping his moral code, which is ambiguous and it thankfully remains ambiguous. The reasons he does anything seem obvious but at the same time questionable since despite his decisions being in the right, he still wrongs others. Him joining the HIVE would’ve meant that he was to kill innocent lives for the sake of some idealistic dream of a terrorist organization, but in not joining them, he left his family as targets of their conquest. Like Slade isn’t a good person. But he isn’t bad compared to the people he fight against. Which makes him the anti-hero/mercenary he always was. 

There’s so much more I want to say but this is a good stop. 

So seriously.
