🔥 Game Design!
People who are designing games need at least one competent mathematician on staff, to deal with translating design conceits into actual mathematical algorithms. Otherwise you end up with hells like dice pools (DICE POOLS ARE AWFUL, YOU NEED TO HAVE A MECHANIC FOR BUYING SUCCESSES IN ORDER FOR THEM TO BE VIABLE AND AT THAT POINT YOU HAVE LOST THE POINT ALREADY), or just a complete lack of understanding of basic probability, leading to a cascade of failures and exploits all through the entire game because someone didn’t bother looking at the numbers. Or you end up with things like exploding dice.
Please just hire mathematicians. Or anyone competent with basic probability and good at adapting numbers. Everyone will thank you. Especially me.

Goodness, no. I don't think I've ever actually spoken to a policeman, actually, except an off-duty one who was a vague family friend. My family had this notion that cops were bad and to be avoided at all costs else they would convict you of something you didn't do or something like that; not the best of ideas to instil in people, I think. It might have been a ploy to scare me straight (pun!), but since they didn't call the cops much themselves, it might not have been.
