cycle 17: the aftermath.

im re-listening to taz again and i’ve recently gotten back around to the stolen century arc - specifically episode 61.

cycle 17 i feel is the biggest one for taako and lup - even bigger than when lup and barry became litches and taako struggled with the risk of it. in a way, at least, because they disagreed about lup becoming a lich, but they actually argued in cycle 17.

and not the argument of ‘fantasy jesus christ taako can’t you just do your fuckin dishes after cooking?’ but like an actual, volatile disagreement involving their moras and personalities.

idk, its just that up until now - and pretty much all times since - both twins have been shown to be very similar. sure, they’re different people, but for basic stuff (like destroying civilisations) they’ve always been on the same page. i just feel like its a big argument, and that it rocked them. after they leave this cycle perhaps they don’t get along for a while after. they’re distant from eachother, they’re quiet if the other one is around, and when they actually do interract they snap at eachother.

i dont really know, but it was clearly something that ucked with them both for a while since they had such opposing ideas on such an important topic. i just think it would be interesting to see the direct aftermath of such a disagreement, even if they didn’t end up just outright burning a whole civilisation up like lup was afraid of.
