Hello friends with vaginas~
So I am in my fourth year of college and I noticed that my period cycle has changed. My period started becoming shorter and more regular (I was irregular before). On the bad side, it was heavier and I actually experienced painful cramps for the first time in 21 years. This went on for a few months, so I assumed I just changed cycles instead of something weird going on. Did a Google search and learned that this is pretty normal and this may occur more than once in your lifetime. So yeah. Just wanted y’all to know if you were feeling paranoid about your period changing or if this hasn’t occurred yet, it might.
Causes of change are typical ones: stress, diet, birth control, lifestyle change, etc.
Of course, listen to your body and go see a professional if something feels weird.
Source. (However there are multiple sources. This one just easily breaks it down in age categories.)
For the first time in the many years my uterus has been hard at work shedding its lining, I'm having a second period this month, and less than two weeks after the first ended. My body is obviously greatly displeased with me.
