01. Nnenna

Nnenna keeps slaying the competition ! This picture is amazing and edged out her other competitor because of her unique approach of the concept to me. I love the cool badass vibe of her pose, it’s really daring for a magazine cover, but it does works. I love the relaxation of her limbs and her shoulders, along with strong connection she’s providing with her eyes. The only fault I would pick out is the fact she kind of cut her torso by bending a little too much forwards, but it doesn’t alter the quality of the final result that much, as it remains an amazing shot.

02. Joanie

I said from last week’s picture that face on wasn’t Joanie’s strenght. But as obvious as this photo, she’s still able to work it like a pro. In fact, her bone structure has been quite lost as well, but the strenght of her stare just makes up for it, I’m totally drawn to her eyes piercing through the heavy make up. The shot is simple, but done right, and the commitment resulting in a striking photograph, one that would definitely catch my attention if it was on the cover of an actual magazine. This photo is a great showing from Joanie.

04. Danielle

I really like Danielle’s pose here, it has a lot of power and comitment and makes for a striking image, which is totally fitting of a magazine cover. I love the strenght of her legs and the abrupt angle of her right one, it brings a lot of dynamism to the photograph. And the wind blowing in her hair and her coat just add to the impact of the picture. The only problem is the face, it borders on bland and really keeps this photo away from other level of amazingness.

05. Leslie

Leslie is working her body like no others in this picture ; she’s displaying luscious curves in the most effortless way, the slight arch of the back is stunning and I love the positionning of the hands, it really works with this pose and environment. But the issue about this picture is the face, her eyes look so sleepy, they are way too much closed, and almost seem like they are looking in different directions, which is bugging me out. Also, I’m still a bit bothered by the fact she displays more of a popstar/dancer energy rather than a model one, but the photo still is good nonetheless.

06. Kari

This is were the shots actually start being good. I honestly think this photo of Kari would make a really convincing magazine cover. Her face especially just sells the picture. I love the subtle seductive look down combined with the raised chin, and with the softly parted lips, it gives her a certain air of confidence. I also think that the hair styling compliment her features very well, but unfortunately the body is kind of a let down, it’s too straight up and down for me. Just doing something with the hidden hand could have helped a lot, but here something is still lacking to elevate this shot to higher levels.

07. Brooke

I guess they awarded this of first call out because they weren’t expecting Brooke to go for such an in-your-face-sexy approach of the concept with full commitment. But to me the commitment reaches the point where it makes the photo look awkward. I think that the angle of her face has been exagerated too much and doesn’t do favors to her unique features. She has an already large jaw so raisin git to high makes it looks even wider in comparison of her head, and her lips are taking over her face. Then, the eyes are too squinty and almost look uneven for me. I still give her credit for the confidence of her pose and the fact it still looks like a magazine cover at the end of the day.

08. Furonda

Furonda definitely looks pretty here (her makeover did wonders for her look), but that’s about it, and this is the main problem about this photograph. Even if this is a major improvement since her last work, I think that this photo look more like a photo of a celibrity on a gala taken by a paparazzi rather than a magazine cover. She doesn’t look like she’s posing for the camera, but rather like she had been randomly caught on film in the middle of a party.

09. Sara

The main issue I have with this photo of Sara is how her face photographed here. I mean I don’t think it looks that bad, but to me the make up is completely taking over her eyes, making them look tired and sleepy. By closely looking at their shape, I can tell that it’s not purely due to the styling and that she closed them too much. And then, the mouth is a little bit pouty for my liking. As for her body, it looks more uninspiring and bland than bad, so it doesn’t help making this picture any better.
