Hope for Addie Update
I am fairly new to "Hope for Addie," but I know we are making a lot of progess. The ride across America is coming up soon, and we are putting all the pieces together. Here are a some of the things happing!
Originally, Steven was supposed to make this trip solo, but now I am going to be riding with him. I was enrolled in college, but I decided to take a break from it and do this instead. In fact, I went to all my classes one last time and promoted Hope for Addie. I think the funniest class to go to was my public speaking class because we had a speech that day. I had signed up to be the first speaker the class before, and I walked in, gave the speech, blew my teachers mind, and walked out (I made an A on the speech). The teacher did not even know I had dropped the class.
Steven and I have found the bikes we need at Cycleast Bikes and they are giving us a great deal on the bikes! We will hopefully have a deposit down on our Surly Long Haul Truckers this week or next, translating to us having our bikes in hand within the month! They are also helping us find sponsors for gear that we need. A BIG THANKS to Russel and the crew there.
Also, our fundraising platform is up and fully functional(http://www.razoo.com/br/causes/Hope-For-Addie), so feel free to donate to Addie!
Lastly, we’ve added a few new people to our team (Ashley, Lauren and I). We are working on an official logo, and a T-shirt design is too! Steven and I will be going out soon to get sponsors for our shirts. If you are interested in buying one, I will let y'al know when they are done!
Thank you for the support, and check back for anything new! I will be posting once a week until we ride!

Hello! It has been WAY too long since we've updated our blog! So many wonderful things are happening with the Hope for Addie campaign! John Garza and I will now be doing the bike ride together (instead of me going solo). We'll hopefully have a deposit down on our Surly Long Haul Truckers within a week or two, translating to us having our bikes in hand within the month! Cycleast Bikes is helping us find sponsors for gear, our fundraising platform is up and fully functional (http://www.razoo.com/br/causes/Hope-For-Addie), we've added 3 new people to our team (John, Ashley, Lauren), an official logo is in the works, and a T-shirt design is too!
Thank you all so much for your continued support and keep checking back for more updates!
