Can I request Scott, Remy, Logan x reader headcanons with a reader who they just rescued from an illegal mutant fighting ring. They had been in there for a long time and were roughed up pretty bad, they were pretty hesitant and scared.
Here are headcanons for how Scott (Cyclops), Remy (Gambit), and Logan (Wolverine) would react to rescuing a reader who had been trapped in an illegal mutant fighting ring:
Scott Summers (Cyclops)
- Scott would be horrified by the state you were in when they found you. Seeing the bruises and the fear in your eyes would hit him hard, igniting a fierce determination to protect you. Heâd be incredibly gentle, trying not to overwhelm you as he led you away from the place that had caused you so much pain.
- Scott would be extremely patient with you, understanding that trust wouldnât come easily after what youâd been through. Heâd take things slow, speaking softly and keeping a respectful distance until you showed signs of being comfortable around him. His natural leadership would shine as he quietly reassured you that you were safe now, and that no one would hurt you again.
- Scott would make sure you had everything you neededâmedical care, a safe place to rest, and someone to talk to if you were ready. Heâd check in on you frequently, but would also give you space, knowing that you might need time alone to process what happened. Heâd encourage you to take things one step at a time and would be there to support you whenever you were ready to open up.
- Over time, Scott would gently encourage you to regain your confidence and control over your powers. Heâd offer to train with you, not to push you, but to help you feel strong again. Heâd emphasize that you werenât alone in thisâthat you had a family now who would stand by you, no matter what.
Remy LeBeau (Gambit)
- Remyâs heart would break seeing you in such a battered state. The usually carefree Cajun would be deadly serious, his red eyes burning with anger at the people who had done this to you. But heâd push those feelings aside, focusing entirely on making sure you were okay.
- Remy would approach you with a careful mix of charm and sensitivity, using his natural charisma to try and ease your fears without overwhelming you. Heâd speak to you softly in that smooth accent of his, offering you a comforting smile and a warm hand to hold if you wanted it. Heâd let you set the pace, never pushing too hard or too fast.
- Knowing how heavy your experiences were, Remy would try to lighten your burden with humor and gentle teasing, anything to make you smile or forget, even for a moment, what youâd been through. Heâd show you card tricks or tell stories, anything to distract you and bring a little light back into your world.
- Despite his usual laid-back demeanor, Remy would be fiercely protective of you. Heâd stick close by, making sure you knew that he was there for you. If anyone even hinted at trying to hurt you again, theyâd have to deal with Gambitâs explosive temper. Heâd also be the first to offer to teach you self-defense, wanting you to feel capable and safe in your own skin.
Logan (Wolverine)
- Logan would be furious at the sight of you, covered in bruises and clearly traumatized. The animal inside him would roar with the urge to tear apart those responsible, but heâd shove that down, knowing that right now, you needed someone calm and steady.
- Logan wouldnât overwhelm you with words; he knows that after what youâve been through, words might not be enough. Instead, heâd offer his presenceâsolid, dependable, and unyielding. Heâd wrap you in his jacket if you were cold, carry you if you couldnât walk, and make sure you knew that you were safe with him.
- Logan would be surprisingly patient with you, especially considering his usual rough-and-tumble attitude. Heâd understand your hesitance, your fear, and would give you the time you needed to adjust. If you flinched away from touch, heâd respect that, but would also make sure you knew he was there whenever you were ready.
- Logan would keep a close eye on you, his protective instincts in overdrive. Heâd make sure you ate, rested, and had the space to heal. He might not say much, but his actions would speak volumesâlike making sure no one bothered you, or leaving small gestures of care, like a cup of tea or a blanket.
- Over time, Logan would try to help you rebuild your strength, both physically and emotionally. Heâd offer to train with you, teaching you how to defend yourself if you wanted, but never pushing you beyond what you were comfortable with. Heâd want you to feel powerful again, not because he thought you needed to fight, but because he wanted you to feel safe in your own skin. And heâd be there, silently promising that no one would ever hurt you like that again.

Summary: New mission: Cheer up Scott.
The way that the team had come in after a mission had you feeling like your heart was down in your stomach. All of them looked miserable in one way or another - but at least they had come back alive. You counted each and every yellow and black suit, and then double counted to make sure that they were all here. Logan, Ororo, Jean, Scott, Kitty, and finally Rogue. You werenât an empath by any means, your powers being physical rather than mental, but the mood of the room was enough to send your own good one plummeting.
âHow many?â You asked, your hand going to your mouth. The guilt at not being able to go was stronger than ever. You had to go and catch a cold, which not only affected you but also your power. Your wings. The large and somewhat painful appendage that you kept tied down beneath your jackets to try to seem somewhat normal. And also to be able to walk through doorways. They were cumbersome under the best of circumstances, but with the sickness that you had, they were molting, feathers showing exactly which path you took throughout the mansion. Feathers much like Warrenâs, though not the pristine and sparkling white of his. No, yours were more like that of the hummingbird. Sharp, triangular, colorful radiant from grey to orange with a bright green that caught and reflected the sunlight. And just like the hummingbird, you were able to hover in one place, you had quick reflexes and motions, and you could fly both forwards, backwards and upside down. But alas, you were a mess at the moment. A big, red nosed, red eyed, kleenex-abusing mess.
âToo many,â Ororo commented, gently putting her hand on your shoulder as she glided past. You turned to watch them go - victorious heroes, but still defeated. This was how they returned home when there were casualties. Damn this war. Scott brushed by you, his shoulder touching yours, head down, looking towards the ground. Out of the group, you were probably the closest to him. You two had become best friends when you were both students here. And now, as fully fledged adults and superheroes, you had managed to keep it up.
You followed Scott towards his room, slipping in before the door closed. You had just taken some dayquil before they got home, and your sinuses were starting to finally feel better. But of course what sniffles you had gave away that you were there. âI kinda just wanna be alone right now, y/n,â He said, crossing his arms.
âYeah, me too,â You nodded. âSo letâs be alone together.â
âI donât think thatâs how it works,â Scott said, sitting down on his bed. He bounced a little on it, but that did nothing to change his mood. You frowned and knew that it was going to take at least a couple of days to get him to snap back to himself. He took civilian deaths seriously. He carried the weight on his shoulders, and as strong as that made him, they were still heavy. âSeriously y/n, I just want to lay down-â
âSo lay down,â You said, making yourself comfortable on the floor, leaning your head against the bed. âIâll just hang out down here. So that you donât get too lonely... while being alone.â
âHow much medicine did you take? Youâre not making much sense,â He said, looking at you. He rested his hand on top of your head, his fingers going through your hair, nails slightly scraping at your scalp making you grin. Oh that was a lovely feeling. He was the only one ever allowed to touch you like this. You almost felt like a little pet, which wasnât altogether bad.
âEnough to feel mostly better,â You said, smiling, leaning back to grin at him. Even he couldnât resist that. Through all of the pain, a little smile tugged at the corner of his mouth. âIâm sorry that I couldnât come on the mission. I feel bad. Maybe I could have changed something if I had been there...â
âDonât do that to yourself,â He shook his head. âYouâll kill yourself with all of the What Ifs.â
âYouâre telling me,â You said, biting at the inside of your cheek. âHey, do you wanna like - get outta here?â
âNot really.â
âToo bad. Come on, itâs still a pretty day outside. And Doc Hank said that the fresh air would help me feel better. Might do the same for you.â
He sighed and looked about his room like there were a million other things that he would rather do. You felt the eye contact from behind his glasses, and you pouted dramatically. âFine,â He grumbled. âI think your power is your pestering. Not your wings at all.â
âYeah, Iâve heard that before too. I think Logan said something about it when I was asking him for his famous jerky recipe. Which I totally got, by the way. Iâm amazing.â
âYeah, yeah you are.â He said, standing up. He offered you his hand, which you took, and got onto your feet, but to his surprise, you kept hold of his hand. âWhat are you doing?â
âMaking sure that you donât just duck down a hallway and run away from me,â You said, giving his hand a squeeze. âI really think that a bit of sunshine, some fresh air, might be good for you. All of that pressurized air in the jet isnât always good for you. Maybe a bit of a walk. Maybe a bit of a flight if you feel up to it?â
âThe last time you took me on a flight, you left me on the roof,â He reminded. âI think both my feet should stay on the ground, thanks.â
âHey, you got down eventually. It was pretty impressive watching you scale down the drainpipe. Paint me amused, Scott. Besides, Logan slipped me a twenty to do it.â
âOf course he did,â He grumbled. You continued to hold onto his hand as you walked through the mansion, and this hardly brought any looks to you or to him. Everyone knew that you two were close. This was just an average Tuesday. âShould you really be holding my hand while youâre feeling sick? Iâm going to catch it from you. Fuck, thatâs just my luck.â
âItâs okay, I already coughed all over your room. Just by touching your bed, you woulda caught it,â You joked, making him groan. This was a man who hardly laughed. This was a man who seemed to feel comfortable in his misery. While you were a positive person who loved to make stupid jokes, stupid quips, he was usually quite serious. It was odd how the two of you balanced one another out. Kurt used to joke about how he would take your side in the inevitable blowup that would ruin the friendship. But it never happened. There hadnât been a blow up. A couple of spats but nothing worse than that.
You opened up one of the doors that lead towards the sprawling grounds. Rolling hills, plenty of trees, gates, fine landscaping and walkways throughout all of it. It was a gorgeous piece of land that you took advantage of, whether by walking directly on it or flying above and admiring. You breathed in through your nose, it finally being unplugged enough for you to do so and then sighed contently. âSee, itâs a gorgeous day, the world still turns.â
âUnfortunately,â He grumbled. âLook, I appreciate what youâre trying to do. I do. But Iâm not just going to cheer up because of a little sunshine and some trees.â
âThatâs alright, youâre allowed to be miserable. Itâs been a hard day,â You nodded, your smile fading into something a little more serious. âIâm not ... Iâm not asking you to cheer up, per say. I just want to make you feel a little better. Breathe a little lighter again. Yâknow ... without the help of Dayquil.â
He sighed, and rubbed at his forehead. His other hand was still holding you. He hadnât let go despite his worry about catching your cold. âA hug probably would have done the same thing. You didnât have to drag me out like this.â
âWhereâs the fun in that?â You asked, giving him a little tug towards the trees. It was your favorite area of the grounds, and he knew that. If you werenât in your room, you were often out here. âRemember when I used to fly us into the trees when we couldnât find a quiet place to study?â
âAnd then Kurt found out and would teleport over and bother us anyway?â
âHe wasnât so bad,â You said with a light laugh. At least he was thinking about happier subjects now. Maybe youâd even get him smiling again. âHe just thought you were the coolest, he wanted to be like you.â
âNah, he had a crush on you,â Scott said with a shrug. âIt was never me that he was there for.â
âPoor guy. I never noticed,â You shrugged, lifting up a hand to push a branch out of the way. âI was always busy looking at you.â
âMe?â Scott asked, and though you could not see his face, you assumed he was raising an eyebrow. He had that lilt in his voice. One of confusion but interest.
âWell yeah, Scott Summers, you,â You laughed. âDid someone switch the Dayquil with Nyquil? That stuff usually acts as a truth potion, not the day stuff. Oh well.â
Scottâs head turned towards where your hand was holding his and then back up at you. Beneath the glasses, you could feel that he was looking at you, so you kept looking forward, moving through to where the trees became a little thicker. To where they were surrounding you. âYou feeling alright?â He asked. âA fever?â
âNo fever. Doc McCoy wouldnât have let me out if I had a fever,â You explained. âJust wanna try to make my best friend feel better. So feel better so I can feel better, kay?â
âYeah, alright,â Scott said. You both walked in silence until you reached a clearing where sunlight broke through the canopy above. This was one of your spots. Tree-Land you called it, because it was absolutely surrounded by the ancient foliage. The trees were thicker here than in the area close to the house. You were about to let go of Scottâs hand, to go and sit down in the sunshine and soak it up, but he gave your hand a squeeze before you could leave him. âYou want to get out of here?â He asked you the same thing that you had asked him back at the mansion.
âBut we just got here,â You pouted, looking around you at one of your favorite places. But then he pointed to another one of your favorite places. Maybe your absolute favorite place. Up towards the sky. âYou want to fly?â
âMight make me feel better.â
âEven if thereâs a chance that Iâll leave you on top of a tree?â
âIâll take my chances with that one.â
âIt means Iâve got to hold you close, remember? What if I sneeze on you?â
âGuess Iâll die.â
That you made you laugh. You let go of him for a moment to unbuckle your wings, letting them come out behind you. Sure, they werenât as pretty as Warrenâs, as majestic. But you were proud of them because they were a part of you. Animalistic, not angelic. And then you wrapped your arms around Scott, holding him securely. Itâs a good thing he wasnât as heavy as Logan or you would never be able to do this. âAre you ready?â
âAs Iâll ever be,â He grumbled. And you pushed off with your knees, your wings starting to flit rapidly, lifting you higher up into the sky.
Okay, so maybe you had just admitted your feelings in a way to your best friend. And maybe he was still a bit grumpy but he was letting you hold him and bring him up close to touch the sky. To look over the tops of all of the trees. And he was trusting you not to let him fall. Not that you would ever let him. Even if you werenât feeling the best. But maybe it was the air up above the trees, or maybe it was his presence but you were starting to feel better. And when you checked his face to see if he was, you noticed that he had a rare smile on his face.

The first time he did it, it caught you off guard.
You were having a school dance, and you were helping to chaperone. After most of the kids had gone off to sleep you were checking around the mansion before heading off to bed.Â
âGoing to bed?â Scott asked as he entered the room as you closed a large window.
You turned and smiled at him âIn a few minutes yeah.â
He stood in the doorway watching you, you could feel his eyes burning into you, not literally though of course. But it did make you a bit nervous, why was he watching you like that?Â
Turning around, you began to exit the room, while passing by Scott âAre you still chaperoning?â
âYeah, Iâm going to make sure the rest of the kids go to bedâ he smiled lightly at you.
âYou may be one of their favorite teachers, but donât let them stay up too lateâ you joked as he chuckled.Â
âI already promised Xavier I wouldnâtâ
You walked over to the staircase and took a step up before turning back to him âGood night Scottâ you smiled.
âGoodnight Y/n, and uh...â he paused for a moment as he stepped up as well, now standing right next to you âYou look nice by the way, I uh, meant to tell you that earlier.â
You smiled at him, feeling heat rise up your neck âThank you Scott.â
He smiled before suddenly taking your hand in his and bringing it to his face, as he pressed a gentle kiss to the back of your hand. âGoodnightâ he said again, voice gentle as he glanced at you for a moment before turning and going back into the main room.
You stared after him for a moment, caught off guard by the sudden intimacy. You looked at the back of your hand as a smile fell across your face.Â
- - -
The second time he did it, it was out of desperation.
You had been injured in a fight with some mutant hunters while protecting a student. You had been unconscious for three days and no one knew when you would wake up again.Â
Scott sat at your bedside as he read your favorite book out loud. You had been telling him to read it for ages, and now he finally was. The other teachers and some students, came and went, but Scott was almost always thereÂ
You two were close, very close. Ever since he lost Jean he thought he would never meet someone else he could love. Until you. It surprised him, but he welcomed it. But he was slow with his feelings, not wanting to scare or push you away. And now, here you were. Injured, unconscious, un-moving. But he knew you would wake up, you were too strong not too.Â
He looked up from the book, his eyes cast on your face. He sighed as he closed the book and set it on the night stand before leaning forward. He stroked the side of your face before placing his hands on yours.Â
Scott watched you for a few moments, the memory of when you were hurt replaying in his head as he felt a sense of desperation rush over him.Â
âCome on Y/n. Wake up.â he whispered hoping that somehow you could hear him, feel his presence.Â
He picked up one of your hands and gripped it in his before he brought it to his face, closing his eyes as he pressed a kiss to the back of your bandaged hand before keeping it pressed against his face.
Your eyes fluttered open suddenly, as though someone woke you from a deep sleep. As soon as you focused on what was in front of you, you saw Scott, holding your hand, pressing a kiss to the back of it. Your heart immediately began to pound. You continued to watch as he brought his your hand to forehead and held it there, as though he was praying.Â
âScottâ you said, your voice came out quiet and hoarse.Â
Scottâs eyes shot open as he looked at you, seeing you awake and looking at him âY/nâ he said your name before he sighed in relief âOh thank God.âÂ
âI take it Iâve been out for a while?â you asked with a small tired smile.Â
He nodded his head âYeah. You had us all worried.âÂ
Your eyes moved around the room as your gaze landed on a book on the side table âSo it only took me almost dying for you to finally read it?â
Scott let out a chuckle as he shook his head, your hand was still in his as he gripped them a little tighter âYeah, well, you were right, it is very good.âÂ
You smiled âTold you so.âÂ
He smiled at you in return, silently thanking whatever it was that allowed you to wake up again.Â
- - -
The third time, was followed by a confession.Â
It had been a couple of weeks since you were injured, and now the school was putting up new safety features around the grounds, in case more mutant hunters might come.Â
You were standing on the roof of the mansion as you finished programming a security device. You began humming to yourself as you looked at the colorful and peaceful sunset.Â
âAlmost done?â a voice said from behind you, catching you by surprise.
Turning you see Scott leaning against the roof doorway as he watched you, the same way he often does. How long had he been there?
âYep, just finished.âÂ
He moved to walk over to you as he stared at the sunset âI love the view from up here.â he commented.
You hummed in agreement as you looked off into the distance as well. From the corner of your eye, you see that Scott was now looking at you. Turning your head you meet his gaze âWhat is it?âÂ
He remained silent for a moment before turning fully towards you âThere is something I need to do, that...I should have done before.âÂ
You tried to ignore the pounding of your heart âWhatâs that?âÂ
He took a small step closer to you before reaching to you and taking your hand in his and bringing it slowly up to his face as he pressed a kiss to the back of your hand.Â
Looking back into your eyes he spoke softly but with a lot of emotion âIâm falling head over heels for you Y/n, and I canât ignore it anymore, I donât want to. Before, when you got hurt, I thought I had lost my chance forever, and then when you woke up I still didnât say anything, because I was scared, that you wouldnât feel the same. But I need you to know.âÂ
You stared at him for a second before you smiled âI- I know, at least I had a feeling, and I wasnât sure what to do about it either, because, I..feel the same Scott. But I thought I might have been overthinking it, that you didnât actually feel that way about me.â you confessed.
Scott took another small step closer as he let go of your hand and took your face into his hands instead, looking into your eyes âI do. And I donât want to hide it anymore.âÂ
âMe either.â you whispered.Â
Scott continued to hold your face as you both leaned in and kissed. The same gentle kiss that he had placed on your hands three times before.
xxÂ

Being the new kid sucked, everyone knew this. Even if you ended up popular as the new kid it sucked.
It was even worse if you had laser eyes that could kill people, and you had to wear sunglasses all the time.Â
Thatâs how it was for Scott Summers, younger brother of Alex Summers. Scott was a messâ he just moved from Ohio to Xavierâs in New York, and he barely knew anything about it! His brother didnât say much to him about Xavierâsâ hell he wasnât even around much. When he was though, he tried to spend time with Scott and be a good big brother, make his parents proud and crap.Â
So when Scott got a mutation and destroyed the boyâs bathroom at his school, Alex picked him up and took him to New York.
-
Scottâs first night was rather⌠odd. He couldnât see, and he bumped into some weird chick who could read minds. Not to mention the building shook during the night.Â
Scott didnât have a roommate, so he had no one to ask questions. No one to help him around the building. No one to be his friend.Â
Okay, he wasnât that lonely. He didnât need a roommate to make friends at school. He just needed to get out. Except he couldnât see.
-
The next day he was taken outside by Dr. McCoy.Â
âI made you some glasses⌠They should help you reflect the beam and trap them in the ruby quartz, so you can see.â
Scott didnât want to get his hopes up, but he was desperate. To see again would be a goddamn miracle.Â
He slipped them on and opened his eyes. He saw the sky⌠the clouds⌠the treesâ it was breathtaking. How he took everything for granted! He was a fool.
âThank you, Professor. Thank you!â Everything was red in some way, shape, or form, but he couldnât care less about that. He could see and that was the most important thing.
âIâm not a professorâŚâ Hank mumbled. âYeah, no, of course. Of course. Iâm glad they worked.âÂ
âDr. McCoy! Alex said you needed me.âÂ
Scott looked at her. She had all normal features, so her mutation had to be something mental or along those lines.Â
âDid he say what for?âÂ
She didnât confirm or deny his question. âHe said youâd be outside with Scott and I had to help him out since he was new and stuff.âÂ
Does she think Iâm a charity project? Does Alex Think Iâm that dependent? âYou donât have to do that.â
âUh, I kinda do⌠Itâs either me or Jubilee at the moment, and trust me, Jubilee is not the match for you. You pissed her best friend off so now she kinda hates you.âÂ
âIâm sorry?â What did he even do? Was Jubileeâs friend the girl Scott ran into yesterday?Â
âJean Grey, you bumped into her yesterday. Sheâs over there by the tree.â (Y/N) motioned to the tree.Â
âOh.â Scott felt sheepish. He didnât mean to snap at her. He just wasnât in the best of mindsets. Also, he really didnât want any enemies at his new school.
âWe can go talk to her if you want. Iâm sure she wonât be mad, just tell her it was a misunderstanding.âÂ
âYou sure?âÂ
âYeah, come on,â (Y/N) made her way over to the tree and Scott followed.
âHey, Jean.â
âHey (Y/N).â She didnât look up from her schoolwork. âScott.â
âHi. Hi, um⌠look I wanted to apologizeââ
A group of smaller kids was standing a ways away from the tree, but near enough, so they could be heard.Â
âLook, itâs her!âÂ
âCareful she might cause an earthquake!âÂ
âSheâs dangerous.â
Scott saw the kids and thought they were afraid of him and his eyes, as he scared a couple of people yesterday. âHey! Itâs okay now. I got special glasses. I can see.âÂ
âItâs not you, theyâre afraid of,â Jean stated.Â
(Y/N) tried to hide her eye roll. âItâs not that bad. Theyâre little, theyâre scared of everyone.âÂ
âWhat are you guys talking about?â Scott asked. âWait⌠last nightâŚâ
Jean frowned, âYep, that was me.â
âYou made the building shake.âÂ
Jean nodded, âyouâre not the biggest freak in school.âÂ
(Y/N) looked between the two. Did Jean have a crush on Scott already? Heâd only been at Xavierâs for two days!
âGuess not⌠Um look, about yesterdayââ
âItâs fine. I get it.â She waved him off. âWhen your mutation first happens itâs a lot of stress and stuff.â
âYeah but, I was a dick. I was wondering if we could start over?âÂ
Jean was taken back by Scottâs request. She never thought heâd apologize.Â
âOh, yeah. Of course, we can.â They shook hands and exchanged names.Â
âAnd Iâm (Y/N).â
âUmâŚâÂ
â(Y/N), we know thatâŚâ Jean stated.Â
âYeah, well I wanted to feel included.âÂ
âOkay.â
-
Scott, you had decided, was going to be so much fun. He knew his way around the mall and wasnât half bad at Pac-Man. He liked Star Wars and cherry slushies, however, he could only see red due to his glasses, so you had to tell him which was cherry.Â
Once you got back to the mansion⌠it was gone.
Everyone was standing out front, but as soon as you arrived it blew up and everyone was outside in the blink of an eye.Â
Scott pulled over and jumped out of the car, running and screaming for his brother.Â
âI got everyone.â A guy decked out in silver leather said. Scott glared at him.Â
âWhereâs my brother?âÂ
âI dunno manââÂ
âWHERE IS HE?â You had to hold Scott back from hurting the silver man. âNo, no. No, no⌠No! NO!âÂ
Jean tried to soothe him with her telepathic abilities, but it didnât do much, it just got him to shut up. You couldnât even bask in the silence, as a military helicopter landed on the campus grounds.Â
âGuys, hide!â Jubilee instructed. You all ran over and hid behind a hunk of stone wall.Â
âWhy are weââ
âShh!â Jubilee put her hand over your mouth. The helicopter shot a sound wave of some sort, causing everyone closest to it to get knocked out. A man in military gear shouted at soldiers to collect certain people. He only wanted adults and you could only recognize one of themâ Hank McCoy.Â
-
Kurt got you all into the helicopter, but couldnât get you out. You thought you were going to die, but that wasnât the thing on everyoneâs minds.Â
Scott was grieving over his brother whom he presumed dead. He was crying silent tears.Â
Comfort him. Jean urged you. You werenât sure how, or if thatâs what he needed, but you had no other options.Â
You placed a hand on his shoulder in an attempt to show support and in return he hugged you tightly, still crying. You were slightly taken aback at first, but you returned the hug, rubbing his back to try and calm him.Â
âHe was supposed to do great things⌠Do something with his life. He shouldnât have⌠He didnât deserve to die!âÂ
âThatâs not what he thought. He thought you were going to do great things, make something of yourself. Why do you think he brought you here?â
He wiped his nose with his sleeve, âHow do you know that?âÂ
âScott, he told me. He told Hank and Hank said I was the best kid to show you around, and then Alex went on and on about everything great about you and how smart and talented you were and how proud he was of you. He was so proud of you.âÂ
Scott wiped his tears away and nodded, trying to stop crying and pull himself together for whatever would happen next in the helicopter.Â
-
Then Apocalypse happened. The fight with Apocalypse, where you were told to go batshit crazy with your mutations and fight. You felt alive, even with the weight of the world resting on you winning.Â
There was so much happening, you couldnât keep track of anyone but yourself. You had gotten hit badly a few times, but you had to trudge through.Â
Jean and Xavier defeated Apocalypse with their powersâ it was cool what Jean did. Scary, but cool. They both nearly passed out due to the strain it took on them.Â
You ended up back at the pile of rock left of the mansion, most of the students in a state of panic, but all in awe when seeing everyone in the armor, mutations on full display.Â
You didnât want to get Scottâs hopes up, but you couldnât find Alex, no matter what you did. He had to be dead, under the rock somewhere.Â
You held his hand, giving it a caring squeeze. âIâm sorry.âÂ
âIâll have to tell my parents once Jean and Magento finish rebuilding the mansion.âÂ
âYeahâŚâÂ
-
The mansion was almost finished, and there was no sign of Alex. You and Scott had given up hope, but for some reason, Hank persisted. âHe canât⌠He canât be dead! This wasnât supposed to happen!âÂ
And then you realized Hank wasnât completely crazy after all.Â
A body was trapped under the basement when Jean and Erik were rebuilding. Everyone thought it was Alex. It was Alex, but you werenât sure if he was alive.Â
âHeâs unconscious, but heâs alive.âÂ
Scott jumped up and hugged Hank, thanking him for everything and for finding Alex.Â
âHe means a lot to us both. Thereâs nothing I wouldnât do for him.âÂ
Obviously, an unconscious mind takes time to wake up, and Scott wasnât allowed to stay at Alexâs side all day. Charles made sure he knew that wasnât allowed, and he used you to keep track and make sure he wasnât sneaking down at odd hours of the night or skipping class to see him.Â
You offered to help Scott set up his room, mostly because you didnât care much about yours for the time being.Â
âYou have a lot of old rock albums.â You stated while placing them all on his bookshelf.
âMost of them were Alexâs.âÂ
âThatâs cool. Did he give you all his old stuff?âÂ
âUh, yeah. Most of it, anyway. I have some of his old clothesâ leather jackets and stuff, mostly.âÂ
âOh, thatâs really cool. I guess you guys were close.âÂ
He nodded, âYeah, close as we could get, anyway, with the large age gap and all. I really care about him.âÂ
Peter, Scottâs new roommate and the silver guy who saved everyone from the mansion explosion, came in with some of his own stuff.Â
âHey, guys.âÂ
âHi, Pete.â You greeted back.Â
âLook, Scottââ
âItâs okay. I know what youâre going to say.âÂ
âNo,â Peter shook his head, âI feel awful about it. Forgetting your brother like that. Iâm so sorry. If it were me and someone forgot my sisters in a situation like that, Iâd get super angry.â
Scott shrugged, âItâs okay. You got everyone else thoughâ and thatâs a lot of people.âÂ
âAlright⌠Friends?â He held out his hand for Scott to shake.Â
âFriends.âÂ
They shook on it, and you tried not to laugh at how cheesy the motion was, but you still let out a comment.Â
âYouâre roommates. You kinda have to be friends.âÂ
âHuh, I guess so,â Peter mused.Â
-
Alex woke up almost two months after the Apocalypse battle. You and Scott were the first to run down and see him. He was in rough condition, but he was alive nonetheless.
âHey, Scott.â Alex croaked out.
Scott hugged him tightly, âYouâre so stupid! I was so worried! Hank was worried, we all freaked outâ never do that again.âÂ
âYou donât have to worry about me. Itâs supposed to be the other way around.â
âYou almost died! Of course, Iâm going to worry about you.â
Alex mumbled something back, but you didnât hear it.
Hank was there too, contributing to the conversation until Xavier came down and told you all to leave Alex alone so he could rest.Â
-
As time went on, you kept an eye on Scott. You were in the same friend group, so that was inevitable.Â
You got extremely closeâ closer than almost anyone else in the group, minus Jubilee and Jean. You told each other about your worries, secrets, past troubles, and your crushes. Scott, despite his persona of a douchebag with sunglasses, or token white guy in an action film, was sweet and empathetic, and smart. He took two AP classes and spent more time training than anyone else.Â
âI just want to get control of my mutation and throw better punches.â
âI know. Just donât overwork yourself.âÂ
He always said, âDonât worry about me. I wonât.â But you always worried. He was probably your best friend at the mansion, of course, youâd worry!
-
Winter break came closer and closer with every passing day, which meant midterms were right around the corner.Â
Everyone was stressedâ downing immortal amounts of caffeine, watching the sunrise and set every day, and rereading notes until their brains exploded.Â
Scott was not excused from this, and the night before his first final he was up way past any reasonable hours, studying.Â
There was a somewhat-quiet knock on the door, and Scott barely acknowledged it.Â
âHey, dork.â
âCanât talk.â
You huffed, âYouâre no fun.âÂ
âSorry, but I really cannot fail any finals.âÂ
âScotty, youâve been studying every second for the past month⌠CâmonâŚâ You whined.
He pinched the bridge of his nose and sighed. You grinned, knowing youâd won.Â
âCome on, 7/11 is open late. You can get some food and water. Relax from all this stress⌠Please?âÂ
Scott closed his book and got up out of his chair. âFine.â
âYes!â You cheered.Â
âLet me grab my jacket.âÂ
You were thrilled you got Scott away from his books for a little bit. You needed a break and it felt like you hadnât seen him as much as usual.Â
-
You talked the whole walk down to the garage. Scott just listened. He liked listening to you speakâ about your day, petty drama with your friends, plus anything and everything in betweenâ Scott likes the sound of your voice, and even if you didnât know what you were saying, it sounded right. Or it did to him, anyway.Â
And that was a part of having a best friend, right?Â
Scott couldnât tell, but he thought so. Heâd never been this close with a friend before, and he had also never had a real crush on anyone before.Â
Crush? I donât have a crush on, (Y/N). Weâre just close. Sheâs my best friendâŚ
But how many times had that cliche been fulfilled?Â
âScotty?â No response. (Y/N), also couldnât read his face due to the sunglasses, so she really didnât know what he was thinking.Â
âScott?âÂ
âWhat?â
You chuckled a little, âYou zoned out there, buddy.âÂ
âOhâŚâ His cheeks were tinted red.Â
âYou, okay?â
He nodded, picking out keys to one of the cars.
âItâs my turn to drive!â You told him.Â
âYeah, but itâs my turn to pick out the car,â He retorted.Â
You rolled your eyes as he tossed you the keys and you unlocked the car.Â
Scott climbed into the passenger seat and immediately turned on the radio. âSo where are we going?â
â7/11. I want a slushie. Plusââ You glanced at the clock for a moment. ââItâs the only place open.âÂ
Scott hummed in agreement.Â
You drove in silence for a little bit until you caught Scott staring at you.
 He quickly looked away. Â
âIs there something on my face?âÂ
âNo.â He was curt with his answer.
âWhy were you looking at me then?âÂ
âIâve missed youâŚâÂ
You smiled. âIâve missed you too, Sike.â
You pulled up to the gas station. It was well lit, considering the late hour it was. There were only two or three cars in total parked there.Â
âIâm gonna get some gas first,â You told Scott as you turned off the car.Â
He stood there and waited for you.Â
âWhatâs Mystique said about our next mission?âÂ
Scott sighed a little, âA lot⌠thereâs a chance weâre going to Germany to bust up the mutant fighting ring, but nothingâs for certain.âÂ
You put the gas pump back in itâs holding spot. âReally? Thatâs pretty bigâŚâÂ
âYeah, but, we fought Apocalypse, soââÂ
âNot everything has to compare. Sure, we donât have to go local, but weâre allowed to not stop every big bad. Itâs just not physically possible.â You held the door open for him.Â
âThanksâ Itâs our responsibility. If we donât do it, who will?â
You browsed the snack isles, not giving him an answer. Scott stood there, waiting for one, but knowing you probably couldnât give it.Â
âOh! Um, lookâ youâre one person, Scotty, and weâre a team of like, 12 people. What we accomplish is huge! But we wonât win every battle. Losing sucks, I know, but you canât stress yourself out over itâŚâ
âI just donât want to regret anything.â He finally picked out a bag of chips. They were plain as could be.Â
âI get that, but you canât spend your whole life doting on âwhat ifâsâ.âÂ
You put your items on the counter to be rung up. You pulled your card out of your pocket, but Scott stopped you.
âHere, I got it.âÂ
âYou sure?â
âYeah, itâs only a couple of dollars.â He handed his card to the cashier.Â
âDo you guys need a bag?â
âNo, weâre good. Thank you though.â You grabbed your drink and snacks and bid the cashier goodnight. Scott did the same.
âSo, now what?â Scott asked once he got in the car.
âLetâs just eat in the car. Itâs a change of scenery from the mansion.â
â(Y/N), this isnât a change of scenery, this is a murder scene!âÂ
You laughed, âItâs not dark enough for that!âÂ
Scott huffed.
âLook, if you really wanna die, I can drive us to the park, or Target parking lot.âÂ
âNo, no,â Scott said in between sips of his slushie. âThis is fineâ perfect actually.âÂ
You were smug.Â
You ate your food in silence for a little bit, exchanging weird glances with Scott.Â
âWhat?â You asked, laughing out of confusion.Â
âYouâre really pretty,â Scott admitted.
âPfftâŚâ You scoffed.
âI mean it⌠Youâre a great friend tooâŚâÂ
âGlad to know weâre best friends cause you think Iâm hot,â You joked.
Scott rolled his eyes, knowing youâd never accept the compliment and it was stupid of him to say.
âYou know who else is good looking?â You asked.Â
âWho?â
âRob Lowe.âÂ
âFrom The Outsiders?â Scott asked in disbelief.Â
âMhmm.â You nodded. Scott chuckled.Â
âHey! You had a crush on Sara Anne from third hour for the longest time. You have no room to judge.â
âYeah, and then we went on a date and I got over it⌠I also had a crush on JeanââÂ
You nodded, and Scott swiped his drink back. âYeah, but sheâs dating OroroâŚâ
âSpeaking of boysâŚâ You laughed at Scottâs poor attempt to change the subject. âYou went out with Warren for two months.â
âWhatâs wrong with Warren?â You asked defensively.
âNothing! It was just weird, only two months.âÂ
âI told you.â Scott shook his head. âNo? I thought I did. Well, anywayâ He was like actually kind of into Jean, and like subconsciously in love with his childhood best friend⌠Her name was Candy South, I think?â
âCandy Southern?â Scott asked, leaning his chip bag over to you. You took a handful and set it on the center console.
âYeah! Thatâs her name.â
âTheyâre dating right now, sheâs nice.â
âGood for him.âÂ
-
You drove back to the mansion around midnight. You went up to your rooms quietly, trying not to wake anyone up and get caught sneaking in.Â
âIâm sorry for being so busy lately.âÂ
You offered a sad smile, âNot your fault, Scotty.â
âWe could hang out this weekend? See whatâs at the movie theatre?â
âItâs a date!â
Scottâs mouth gaped open. Your eyes widened in shock. Why did I say that?Â
âUh⌠Itâs not like a date date, but like weâre two people, going to the movies aloneââ
âIt can be a date if you want.âÂ
Your mind went blank. Surely you misheard him.Â
âUh, what?â
âI just meant, um, we couldâ never mindââ
âDo you want it to be a date?â You tried sounding confident in your words, but you were nervous.
âI donât wanna ruin our friendshipâŚâ Scott looked down, avoiding your gaze.Â
âScotty, itâs okay.âÂ
He nodded, a little unsure.
âItâs a date.âÂ
âYeah,â He decided. âItâs a date.âÂ
Your face moved forward, lips slightly puckered. You placed a kiss on his cheek. Scottâs face turned red like a tomato.Â
How would Scott, Charles, and magneto, react to a reader who as an very powerful and versatile mutation but is so under coordinated and is kind of hesitant to join the x-men because they don't think they will be good enough on the team
Here's how Scott Summers (Cyclops), Charles Xavier (Professor X), and Magneto might react to a reader with a powerful and versatile mutation who feels undercoordinated and hesitant to join the X-Men due to doubts about their abilities:
Scott Summers (Cyclops):
Scott is all about discipline and control, so he would likely address your concerns with practical advice and encouragement. He'd say something like:
"Look, I understand that youâre feeling unsure of yourself, but youâve got to remember that we all started somewhere. Even the most powerful abilities mean nothing without practice. Your mutation is a gift, and with training, you'll get the coordination and confidence you need. The X-Men arenât just about power; we're about teamwork, and thatâs something we can help you with. Donât let doubt stop you from reaching your full potential. Weâve got your back."
Charles Xavier (Professor X):
Charles would approach your concerns with compassion and insight. He would want to help you understand your worth and the importance of your unique abilities:
"My dear friend, itâs perfectly natural to have doubts, but do not let them define you. Your hesitation tells me that you care deeply about contributing meaningfully, and thatâs the mark of someone who will be a valuable member of the team. Coordination and skill can be honed with time, but your potential is limitless. Here at the Xavier Institute, we focus on nurturing not just your powers, but also your self-belief. You belong here, not because of what you can do, but because of who you are."
Magneto (Erik Lehnsherr):
Magnetoâs response would likely be more intense and driven by his belief in mutant superiority, but he would also recognize your potential:
"Power is a gift, not a curse. You may feel uncoordinated now, but that is a temporary limitation. Hesitation is the enemy of progress. The world fears and misunderstands us, and you cannot afford to doubt your strength. Join me, and I will show you how to harness your abilities, to turn your weaknesses into strengths. Together, we can shape a future where mutants like us no longer need to question our worth. The X-Men may teach restraint, but I offer you something greater: the confidence to claim your rightful place."
Can I ask for Kurt, Emma, and Scott with a reader thatâs a little off-putting? Theyâre mostly harmless but them not making a sound still gives people a start.
Kurt Wagner (Nightcrawler)
Kurt has a deep understanding of feeling like an outsider due to his own appearance and abilities. He appreciates the silent, almost ghostly way you move, seeing it as a unique expression of who you are rather than something unsettling. He finds your ability to be stealthy fascinating and sometimes even challenges you to see if you can sneak up on himâthough with his teleportation skills, it becomes a fun game of cat and mouse.
Kurt notices that your silence often leads others to feel uneasy, but he never lets it bother him. Instead, he shows affection through small, thoughtful gesturesâleaving you little notes in places only you could find, or teleporting into your space to surprise you with a snack or a joke, making sure you feel included and cared for.
Kurt finds peace in the quiet of the night and enjoys spending that time with you, knowing youâre more comfortable when things are still. Whether itâs sitting together in silence or engaging in deep conversations about your experiences, he appreciates the calm you bring to those moments and is always there to listen without judgment.
He encourages you to embrace your mutation, reminding you that just as he has learned to love his appearance and abilities, you can find pride in what makes you different. Heâs patient and kind, never pushing you too far but always there to help you see the beauty in your uniqueness.
Emma Frost
Emma isnât easily rattled by much, including your unsettling presence. Sheâs more intrigued than anything, appreciating the power and control you have over your ability to move undetected. She respects strength, and in her eyes, your ability to make people uncomfortable is just another form of power, one that she finds admirable.
Emma sees your potential and takes it upon herself to help you refine your abilities, offering to train you in using your mutation more strategically. Sheâll guide you in turning what others see as âcreepyâ into a sophisticated skill set, perfect for espionage or other high-stakes situations.
While Emma appreciates your ability to unsettle others, she also understands the importance of social dynamics. Sheâll offer tips on how to use your silence to your advantage without alienating people, teaching you how to blend your natural stealth with a more polished social presence.
Emma doesnât coddle you or try to make you more approachable; instead, she respects you as you are. She values your authenticity and never asks you to change, only to hone your skills. In her eyes, youâre already powerfulâshe just wants to help you refine that power into something truly formidable.
Scott Summers (Cyclops)
Scottâs military-like discipline means heâs rarely caught off guard, even by someone as silent as you. While others might jump when you appear out of nowhere, Scott barely flinches. Heâs more likely to acknowledge you with a calm nod, appreciating that youâre simply doing what comes naturally.
Scott immediately sees the tactical advantage in your ability to move without being noticed. Heâs constantly thinking about how your mutation could be utilized on missions, often pairing you with teams where your skills would be most effective. Heâs pragmatic, recognizing that what others find unsettling is actually a powerful tool.
Scott isnât one for excessive words, so he appreciates that you donât need to fill the silence with chatter. Thereâs a mutual understanding between you two, a quiet camaraderie where actions speak louder than words. He respects your space and doesnât push you to be more outgoing than youâre comfortable with.
Scott can be very protective of his team, and that includes you. While he respects your independence and ability to take care of yourself, heâs always watching out for you in his own quiet way. If anyone on the team ever made you feel uncomfortable because of your mutation, heâd step in with a firm hand to ensure youâre treated with the respect you deserve.
Scott might encourage you to push your boundaries, not to change who you are, but to explore how your abilities can evolve. Whether itâs training exercises that challenge your stealth in new ways or missions that test your limits, Scott believes in your potential and wants to see you grow into the best version of yourself.
It's a cool autumn evening when your car decides to break down in the middle of nowhere. The engine sputters, coughs, and then gives out entirely. You curse under your breath, pulling over to the side of the road. Itâs getting dark, and the last thing you want is to be stranded here overnight.
After a few minutes of trying to get the car to start again, you give up. With a sigh, you grab your jacket, step out of the car, and start walking down the road. Not far ahead, you notice a large, looming structure in the distance. As you get closer, you realize itâs an impressive, mansion-like building. There's a sign out front that reads "Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters."
The place seems both welcoming and mysterious, but right now, itâs your best bet. You approach the entrance and ring the bell. After a moment, the door opens, and youâre greeted by a tall, muscular man with red-tinted glasses.
"Can I help you?" he asks, his voice calm but commanding.
"Yeah, my car broke down a little way back," you explain. "I was hoping someone here could help me out. I didnât know there was a school in the area."
The man nods, considering your situation for a moment before introducing himself. "I'm Scott Summers. I can take a look at your car. Wait here."
A few minutes later, Scott comes out with a toolbox in hand. You lead him to your car, and he gets to work, carefully inspecting the engine. As he does, you find yourself watching him more than anything else. There's something magnetic about him, the way he moves, the quiet confidence in his actions.
"Looks like a simple fix," he finally says, pulling out a few tools. "You should be back on the road in no time."
"Thank you so much," you reply, genuinely grateful. "I wasnât sure what I was going to do."
"No problem," Scott responds, glancing up at you. "It's what I do."
As he finishes up, the two of you make small talk. You learn a bit about the school, and he explains that itâs a place for students with unique abilities. The more you talk, the more you feel a connection growing between the two of you. There's an intensity in his gaze, even through those red glasses, that makes your heart race a little faster.
Finally, the car is fixed. You thank him again, but as youâre about to get in and drive off, you hesitate. You donât want to leave just yet. There's something unspoken lingering in the air between you.
"Listen," he says, his voice a little unsteady. "I know this might sound crazy, but⌠would you want to come back to the school with me? I could show you around, maybe we could⌠talk some more?"
You pauses, considering his offer. Then nod slowly. "Yeah,Iâd like that."
Back at the school, Scott gives you a brief tour, but itâs clear that neither of you is really focused on the history of the building or the curriculum. The tension between you is almost palpable. When you reach a more secluded area of the mansion, Scott stops walking, turning to face you fully.
"There's something about you," he says quietly, his gaze intense. "Something that⌠draws me in."
You take a step closer to him, your heart pounding in your chest. "I feel the same way."
Before either of you can say anything else, you close the distance between you, pressing your lips against his. The kiss is electric, filled with all the pent-up tension from the evening. Scott wraps his arms around you, pulling you close as the kiss deepens, becoming more urgent, more desperate.
One thing leads to another, and soon you find yourselves in one of the more private rooms of the mansion. The rest of the world fades away as you lose yourselves in each other, the connection you felt earlier blossoming into something intense, something undeniable.
Afterward, you lie together in the quiet, the only sound your breathing as you both come down from the high of the moment. Scottâs hand gently strokes your hair as you rest against him.
"I guess I owe you more than just a thank you," you murmur, a smile tugging at your lips.
Scott chuckles softly, the sound rumbling through his chest. "I think weâre even."
How about Scott summers x reader where Scott drinks the love potion, but makes it fluffy in the end, and reader has to deal with him while he is inlove with them
Love potion
It all began with a mysterious artifact that had been discovered during one of the X-Menâs recent missions. The object, an ancient vial with a shimmering liquid inside, was rumored to be a love potion. The team had decided to keep it under lock and key, unsure of its true effects but intrigued by its potential.
One evening, the mansion was buzzing with activity as the team gathered for a casual dinner. Scott Summers, always the diligent leader, had been working late and was exhausted. He noticed the vial sitting unattended on a table, its contents glinting under the light. On a whim, he picked it up, curious about its properties. Unbeknownst to him, a mix-up led to Scott accidentally drinking a small amount of the potion.
As the effects of the potion began to take hold, Scottâs behavior started to shift. He felt a sudden rush of warmth and affection, and it wasnât long before he realized that his feelings for you, his best friend, were intensifying. He found himself unable to keep his eyes off you, his heart fluttering with a newfound intensity.
You noticed the change almost immediately. Scottâs usual reserved demeanor was replaced with an overtly affectionate and affectionate attitude. At first, you thought it might be due to exhaustion, but when he started expressing his feelings more openly, it became clear that something else was at play.
One evening, as you were both sitting in the common room, Scottâs eyes were locked on you with an almost dreamy expression. He reached out and took your hand gently. âYou know, Iâve been meaning to tell you something,â he said, his voice soft and full of emotion.
You looked at him, a bit puzzled but curious. âWhat is it, Scott?â
Scottâs smile grew as he leaned closer. âIâve realized that you mean more to me than I ever imagined. Youâre everything Iâve ever wanted, and I canât help but feel like the luckiest person in the world to be with you.â
Your eyes widened in surprise. âScott, are you okay? You seem⌠different.â
Scottâs expression softened as he looked at you with undeniable affection. âIâm more than okay. Iâm in love with you. I know it might sound sudden, but I canât hide my feelings anymore.â
You felt a mix of emotionsâconfusion, amusement, and warmth. It was clear that the love potion had taken effect, but you couldnât deny that there was something heartwarming about his genuine affection. You decided to play along, wanting to give Scott a chance to express his feelings fully.
âScott,â you said with a gentle smile, âI think the potion might have had some effect on you. But⌠I appreciate how you feel. Itâs just that I want to make sure this is real and not just the potion talking.â
Scott nodded, his eyes filled with sincerity. âI understand. I want you to know that even if the potion is influencing me, my feelings for you are real. Iâve always admired you, but now I realize just how much you mean to me.â
You reached out and took his hand, giving it a reassuring squeeze. âWell, if youâre serious about this, Iâd like to explore it with you. But letâs take things slow and make sure weâre both on the same page.â
Scottâs face lit up with joy. âIâd like that. I want us to be more than friends, but I want it to be right for both of us.â
Over the next few days, as the effects of the potion wore off, Scottâs feelings remained genuine. The potion had acted as a catalyst, bringing his true emotions to the surface, but the love he expressed was real. You both took the time to talk and understand each otherâs feelings, slowly building a deeper connection.
In the end, the potion had turned out to be more than just a magical concoctionâit had served as a turning point in your relationship. With Scottâs feelings now clearly defined and reciprocated, you both embarked on a new chapter together, filled with the promise of love and companionship.
As you and Scott grew closer, you both looked back on the potion with a smile, grateful for how it had brought you together in a way neither of you had anticipated. And with each passing day, the bond between you only grew stronger, proving that sometimes even the most unexpected magic could lead to something truly beautiful.
