can you talk more about the parasite George au, if you have anything else to say?
It’s been taking up my brain space recently i’m very invested 👀
Oh yes that au :) assuming we're talking about the same one, I don't have too many things to say that I haven't already mentioned on the discord server, but I'll see what I can come up with!
I'm assuming you're talking about the au where George lives in Dream's stomach, right? I love that one and I wanna write for it eventually. But for anyone who isn't familiar with this au, the basis is that George is tiny and lives in Dream's stomach but isn't aware that he lives in a stomach. To him, this is just his world. But then he and Dream start sharing dreams and talking to each other when they dream and George starts to long for that life even though Dream's world seems to be much scarier than his.
Dream doesn't know that George lives inside of him, and he isn't even aware that George is tiny. In the dreams, George is indistinct, kinda blurry and hard to look at, but they're both the same size. George also doesn't know that Dream is bigger than him.
Dream only starts to realize things when he lets George take control of the dreams and he gets a good glimpse at George's world for the first time. To him, it's kinda concerning: George lives in this weird damp cave in the dark all day? No wonder he sleeps so much!
Eventually Dream will start to put things together, although he tries to deny it. But George talking about how his world flooded (and Dream remembers having to drink several potions to heal from a creeper explosion), George mentioning how everything moved around a lot today (Dream did a lot of parkour when trying to catch up to Sapnap after his friend "stole" his mask). . .Dream starts to have theories, and he doesn't like it. Although it would explain why George didn't even know what grass is.
It's kinda unnerving to think about. Does he really have someone living inside him? What does he do?
When he tries talking to George, though, George refuses to listen. George thinks Dream is lying, because Dream is implying that he is George's world. How is he supposed to believe that?
. . .George gets curious, and he thinks about trying to climb up and out, but he's tried that in the past and it never works.
(If George ever did leave Dream's stomach, he wouldn't have a good time. First of all, he's very small; it would be hard for him to interact with Dream, and it would be easy for him to get hurt by accident. Secondly, he's used to the stomach, which is dark and damp and warm. Being outside would be very uncomfortable; the light would hurt his eyes, the air would irritate his skin, and he'd be very cold.)
(Dream, meanwhile, becomes very anxious once he is sure his theory is correct. What if he drinks too much and George drowns? What can he do to make sure his tiny friend stays safe?)
