[tbh it really only bugs me when people ignore the joly/bossuet/r trio in the process. in canon, joly and bossuet are r’s best friends and can we not ignore that.]

yeah i think that’s it? i mean. i don’t have a problem with them being friends. at all. in fact, i actually can see them getting along really well? male x female relationships that are not romantic are important but everyone seems to portray them as bffls, practically platonic soulmates and in the process they shunt joly and bossuet off to the side and act like they barely tolerate grantaire and it’s like ??? ok which version of the brick did you read
