Florida’s cypress swamps forever giving Dagobah vibes 🚀 No sign of Yoda yet, though. 🦇 While rewatching the original trilogy this weekend, Tim and I had some questions, so we did a little research on how they shot the Florida-like setting. Most of Dagobah was shot in the studio in England, but after filming wrapped, they realized they needed another shot, so they used George Lucas’ pool in California to recreate the iconic bog! 🦇 Also, somehow I had never realized until now that George Lucas essentially named the main character after himself, since Luke is typically a nickname of Lucas. How did I miss that?! 🦇 👕As always, my outfit is thrifted to minimize my environmental impact. I don’t usually have a chance to show off the dozens of Star Wars shirts I’ve found at @goodwillintl so it was fun to wear my Empire shirt with the intention of getting a Dagobah portrait 📸 🐍 🦇 🦎 #wildlife #explorida #roamflorida #swamp #cypresstree #lakelouisastatepark #clermontfl #clermontflorida #orlando #visitorlando #thisisorlando #aroundorlando #hiking #naturepreserve #pureflorida #florida #lovefl #nature #starwars #disneystyle #starwarsstyle #empirestrikesback #dagobah @visitflorida @visitorlando @lovefl @aroundorlando @stufftodoinorlando @discoverorlandoflorida @fl.stateparks @floridastateparksfoundation @lake.louisa.state.park (at Lake Louisa State Park) https://www.instagram.com/p/Cpz_he7ubLT/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
