my dumb ass deleted all of the fucking cut scenes and gameplay art for SOME stupid reason (probably because he thought he wouldn't be picking up the game again), BUT. @firapolemos05 did find these two from her reblogs which is awesome bc this is one of my favs :)

for clarification: the NEW game will be text heavy; the only visuals will be for animated cut scenes.

its come to my attention (/silly) that i have COMPLETELY neglected the dnd versions of my backrooms ocs LIKE THIS WAS ITS OWN THING I HAVE **SOO** MUCH DUDE but recap on what the clayfoam im talking about:

I HAD an entire section in my backstory for my dnd characters that was dedicated to a dnd version of the partygoers ("onisol", a homebrew subspecies of the Oni that steal magic) and partypoopers (I forgot,,, i actually let my dm have most of the fun with that one cus they had a ton of ideas but its like idk an elf?? subspecies? shrugs) The partygoers wear boxes on their heads because the idea of non box partygoers is SO cursed to me, they are somewhat human like tho Anyways,, TYOU KNOW WHO HAS MY **FAVOURITE** DND ALTERNATIVE DESIGN??? JEST

Context: The onisol (partygoers) were cursed to lose their magic ability <- now have to steal magic, as well as lose their ability to change size (oni are a giant species in dnd, i dont know ab the actual lore)

wait omg why am i.... obsessed with ur ocs just from a small little blurb. i live for evil characters are evil together - are you pulling inspiration from the hades/persephone myths with the whole "returning to him" thing? is there somewhere i can read more????????? i'm literally hooked

You are so fucking sweet?! Im gonna cry? Ive been playing with these barbies for like 12 years and I'm always blown away when anyone expresses interest in them? (Though tbf Shivali is a New Addition, very shiny only a few months old :))

Honestly didnt even think about the Hades/Persephone parallels but you know what im gonna lean into it!

These two characters: Cyrus and Shivali are the villains of the novel, responsible for the inciting incident and the curse that is the core of the plot :)

The main character is Dean | Katrina, a trans woman who transitions over the course of the novel (i use both names interchanagbly depending on timeline because she uses both at different points in the novel but mostly refer to her as Katrina since thats the part of the book im currently working on pls dont flame me I am trans and using names based on my own experiences with names and Tristan (exiled prince and Cyrus's half brother) and Aya (Tristans bodyguard) are our cursed lovers. They end up in a poly trio because they Deserve To Be Happy. And the final main character is Tomyris (Tristans younger sister, Cyrus' half sister) who is a Disabled Icon and @hellohoebags favorite (yes I just tagged you cause I know you love her).

Anyway back to Cyrus and Shivali they are Self Recogntion Through The Other (in love and horny about it) and both are brutally ruthless and ambitious. They are loyal to eachother second because their first loyalties are to themselves but make no mistake they are Partners In Crime (literally AND romantically), they are in Cahoots (nefarious) and I love them So Much :) honestly I created Shivali because I didnt want Cyrus to fall into the "incapable of love villian" stereotype and giving him a partner in crime, someone he shared mutal respect and affection with, gave them both so much dimension :)

The whole "returning to me" comment is because of the setting. Most of the story takes place in the recently conquered north of the Empire I created and its viewed as very "uncivilized" while the south is the center of "culture". One of the inspirations was Romes conquest of Gaul and Britannia- though I think you'll appreciate that most of the culture and certainty the environment is inspired by my archeology fieldwork in Arizona. So the south is desert then as you go north you get a temperate band, the mountains and then the colder plateau area. Shivali and Cyrus and his family (though Tristan and Tomyris are biracial- their mom was from one of the more southern northern cultures) are from the south and Shivali and Cyrus are real dicks about it but basically Shivali hates the north, hates the cold, hates being away from the movers and shakers of the Empire but she puts up with it because Cyrus is the Emperors nephew and has been appointed Governor of the northern territories so he has a lot of influence and also she genuinely likes him. Hence her comment about how if Cyrus was any other man she'd have killed him before moving north. The context for this snippet is her returning to the north after Politicking in the south and that is an act of love for them :)

I was talking with my friend Todd earlier today over Subway and he told me about the new Elder Scrolls 6 game coming out in a few years. He showed me the map for The Elder Scrolls Adventures: Redguard and said the new game would take place on the entire map, from Yokuda and Summerset to Hammerfell and High Rock.

You get to play as Cyrus again but there are three different hairstyles, and you can also be a girl. Girl Cyrus is exactly the same as Cyrus but has long eyelashes.

Quick little doodle of Ash's family. Im gonna change the designs later, but I was having trouble visualizing them when I was writing them so drew them to help myself out.

Cyrus - Ash's father, and the one who brought all the riches. He's a bit prissy and doesn't like to get his talons dirty. While deep down he kind of cares for his dragonets, he's more focused on rubbing elbows with the most elite dragons in all the tribes.

Candle - Ash's mother, and a very successful military general. She is uncaring and cold toward her dragonets, she sees activities such as school to be a waste of time. As a result none of her dragonets know how to read or write, and none can speak human, which 113 years later is kinda just common knowledge. She's also never told her dragonets when their own hatching days are, none of them have ever had a party :(. She's very hard on Singe and Ash, and can sometimes even be physically abusive toward them.

Singe - Ash's older sister, and the member of the family she's closest with. Singe cares a lot about her siblings and tries to shield them from their mothers harsh punishments and training. She's very outgoing and does her best to help her siblings grow up in at least a somewhat happy environment. Too bad she's dead now.

Soot - Ash's younger sister and twins with Smog. Soot is the less energetic one of the two, she's quieter and mostly lets Smog do the talking. She's never gone out of her way to form a relationship with her parents or older sisters however. She only does so when she needs something

Smog - Also Ash's younger sister, and twins with Soot. Smogs energetic and very, very bratty. She's jealous of her older sisters and makes it very clear. She's demanding and treats her siblings the same way she treats the house maids, she even treats her twin sister like that. She was all too happy to try and replace Singe after her death, and tried to convince Ash to run away because whoever killed Singe probably wanted to kill her too.
