“Just get him some of the cookies, Allie. It’s not going to hurt him, I promise. I made them for both of you.” She listened to her daughter on the other side of the phone, a smile lifting onto her face. “Well, you know I taught you to share. You know his teeth aren’t going to fall out if yours haven’t already by how many sweets you eat.” She shook her head as her daughter finally gave in. All she could hear in the background was her yelling for her brother. Then, a second later, their babysitter picked up the phone. “Please make sure they don’t eat all of those. Thank you so much.” As she hung up, she looked up from the list of ingredients that she was hovering over. Thalia had just so happened to be in her bakery while she was on the phone. Luckily, it wasn’t too crowded so she could actually talk to her kids on the phone. As she placed her phone down next to the paper, she heard someone walk in. “Welcome to Piece of Cake. What can I help you with?” She asked without looking up from her paper to know who had actually come in.
