Everyone is getting their characters sorted for Manchester by Gaslight!
We have a new player too, our guest player who plays occasional STCs in London will be joining us fully for MbG. She was with us for Fall of London but didn't have the time for London Calling full time, but a year and a bit later, she's free again 🙌
The chronicle itself won't be starting until we reach the end of LC Chapter Two, so another few months but, the server is all in place, everyone ia doing their thing and we're al hyped for ANOTHER reason to play pretend vampires.
We're into the third month of VtM:LC chapter two and it's so nice to see all the little ways each coterie member has developed, developed through being fucked over all the time, but development either way
Nephilim: What pleasures does your OC get out of their unlife? Sister Evangeline sticks to her vows and the heavenly virtues to keep her humanity in check, so her pleasures in the unlife are more.. the simple and extremely ordinary things! She's a jack of all trades, master of none when it comes to hobbies, also due to "the devil makes work of idle hands" too, so she enjoys crafting (crochet, knitting, embroidery), cooking (to feed the homeless), music (she sings in a community choir and also plays the organ and piano), puzzles (jigsaws, crosswords.. etc), then there's her little rooftop garden.. oh! And she also partakes in folk-dancing classes with her touchstone!
Church of Set: Is your OC able to be their true selves? If not, why? Is there anyone they can be real in front of? Bambi is unapologetically herself majority of the time, though the only thing she hides is if she's upset, so she never allows herself to cry in front of others. Saying that, her upset tends to come in the form of anger, like a rage for allowing herself to become upset. She knows in the ✨️world of darkness✨️ things are shit, but she sees no point in brooding about it as it's not going to get things done. Her herd/ best mates are the only ones who have ever and will ever see her cry... but there's a potential Tristan.
Bahari: How well does your OC cope with mental/ physical pain? Physical, she pushes through, she'll brush it off. Mental.. ehh.. she buries it, acts like it never happened..
Caitiff: would you say your OC is individualistic or do they conform to their clan's stereotype? Bwaha, she's a punk, so she's already in the stereotype! But yeah, honestly, I think she's quite a stereotypical for a Brujah tbh, just in pink. In my head she's Brujah Barbie!
Ventrue: Does your OC have any influence or sway anywhere? Are they respected? Bambi is known over a few domains other than the one she lives in, she has some form of influence, sway and respect across some of the alternative scenes. It's a.. She knows people, people know of her sort of thing. She can gather a crowd if needs be. But equally.. she also is disliked by many others..
Brujah: What is something your OC will always fight for? What's the reason? Classism, because her family had the means to help but never did.
Saga
Banu Haqim: What's the worst punishment your OC has ever received? Have they given any punishments out? How was it handled? Saga's worst punishment that she's received is isolation. Left alone in a room with no physical contact. She's addicted to intimacy, not necessarily sex, but just.. closeness and intensity. Her sire and high Priestess both put her in time out 😆 As for punishment she's given out.. The last one was.. she set a Thinblood's boat on fire, completely destroying it, for breaking a window on hers.. or something small like that. Got to send a warning that she doesn't play!
Lasombra: What is the most ruthless thing your OC has done? Why? Burning down the Thinblood boat, talking said thinbloods into working for the Ministry but convincing them it's for their own protection, and then keeping them sweet with hedonism so all red flags look pink.
Malkavian: Think of your OC as a mortal, pre-embrace. If someone was to show them what was going to happen to them, from the night they were turned to now, would they let their embrace happen or would they try to avoid it? Oooft, hrm.. Depends how close to her embrace. If it was over a year before, she'd avoid it. She's smitten, why would she want to ruin other people! But leading up to it, it would be more.. "why shouldn't I?"
Toreador: Describe your OC's aesthetics in the worst possible way possible, then tell us what it actually is. SNAKE LIKES BODY HEAT AND BLOOD. SNAKE SING TO LURE. SNAKE FEEDS AND GETS CUDDLED. SNAKE HAPPY. Saga uses intimacy to feed so uses her skills of Kulning and singing to attract, as well as her looks and seduction. Once found her victim, she feeds, usually being held by them during sexual.. activities. She's a siren siren.
Nephilim: What pleasures does your OC get out of (un)life? Hedonistic lifestyles and honestly, just simple physical contact. She's very hands on.
I was reminded of the Sin City books yesterday while browsing Vinted, must be well over 15 years since I last read them... May need to find them again for re-read tbh..
