Spoilers, leaks, speculation ahead (because I need to know the why of things):

So apparently most speculation is based on this particular post on the BSN forums about a DLC survey.

I know they aren’t done with DA:I yet. This eurogamer article has both the link to reddit and the bsn and one of the tweets by one of the devs. There are more of those (Mark Darrah said: “soon” recently on twitter, which means we actually get more info soon).

Anyway, the DLC ‘leak’ looks promising, imo. I don’t know where all the dead people speculation comes from, but I’m not going to speculate on that myself. I think I’ll do with this exactly the same thing as I did with more games; wait till I know for sure if the ending is something I want to experience. I saw some posts on ‘self-congratulatory posts’ on twitter, but I haven’t found any in relation to DA:I (I did, however, saw a few on an unrelated-with-friends-game, maybe someones reading comprehension switched of (could be mine)).

So it’s wait and see for me. While it could be as bad as some of the wilder speculation goes currently, it doesn’t necessarily end all that bad (or even that clear and I’d be fine with not that clear, like DA2 ended).

Like honestly I wouldn't expect Bioware to kill off another protagonist after the mass effect shit show, but who knows. As long as they do it well, I wouldn't be TOO pissed, but the track record there ain't exactly great, so....

Do you think Skyhold will make an appearance in later Dragon Age games? From what you said, it sounds like Skyhold is pretty historically significant, and, at least in my opinion, I feel that a lot of that history was left unexplored, especially for how many little snippets the player is given about its past. (I.E. being placed on top of an ancient elven site, Mason's Gatsi's comments about how it was made from different materials, and so on)

It depends. While Skyhold is significant to the history of Thedas, it’s important to know if that significance is significant. In other words, do we need to know what rituals the elves performed there to further the story?

Really all of Skyhold’s history could just be explanation and a little extra on how Skyhold has always been important and so why Solas thought it’d be a good idea to run the Inquisition out of there. 

The most likely places I’d see Skyhold’s history being brought up are in a DA:I DLC or a future game that takes place in the past, rather than something that is actually fleshed out in another game as being more than just the location of the Inquisition. As I said though, it could be brought up again if we face an event caused by the history of Skyhold. So like a scene where something the ancient elves did in Tarasyl’an te’las, came back to be of importance to any future events or PCs.

This that put Solas' views in a whole another perspective for the players, is how he states that all Ancient Elves were mages, when in fact, or based on how the sentientals, is not true. It's safe to assume that most, if not maybe all, sentinels were part of different classes. It's also safe to assume that the Tevinter society is based upon Arlathan's, where the mages are on top of the social hierarchy. And the fact that Solas only refers to the mages, is ...interesting. And even shows that despite him being a "rebel", it more of him rebeling for the sake of it, but not for the people In comparison to Sera, who is actually part of the people and does her actions based on their needs, not her wants. If the makes sense...

Idk if it's just me, but I really felt like originally, the storyline was meant to be a choice between Hawke and the Warden. However, given the vastly different personalities Wardens can have (as opposed to Hawke, who while nuanced, can be more "fudged" than the Warden can) they simplified it.

And I mean, I kinda would have preferred that? IDK.

So, Solas was like "you're the first human I've seen with so much potential since-" and then he cuts himself off.

And I'm thinking. What if he was talking about Andraste. SO, WHAT IF SOLAS IS THE MAKER/FEN'HARAL. I never really ascribed to the Maker=Fen'haral before, but now I'm obsessed with it. :|
