"i won't say no." danika hadn't pulled away from bax yet, though the music had stopped, the next song just barely starting. there was something, some small voice in the back of her mind, that told her to not let go yet. that wanted nothing more than to keep his hand in hers for the rest of the night. "you're better at dancing than you are at flirting."
"i know you said shit's weird between you and fury, but you still could've come with us for the friend date. our trio doesn't make sense without you, you know." dani had pulled june onto the dance floor for a bit, letting fury go off to do whatever it is fury does when they aren't around.. honestly, danika was better off not knowing what that was. "if you're going to keep staring at me, the least you can do is pick up my tab." danika winked towards him, catching his eyes for the third time now. she wasn't sure if he was trying to be subtle or not, but man he was bad at it if that was the case. or, they had a good grasp on their surroundings.. but either way, she stood, moving the few seats down to close the distance between them. "don't tell me i have something in my teeth and you let me sit there that long with it."

"oh they absolutely fucked this up--" danika's nose scrunched just smelling the drink the bartender had put down in front of her. they had to assume it just was the wrong order, right? that they didn't mishear her. it didn't even look like it had whiskey in it. "here, do you want this? my treat." she pushed the drink to the girl beelining for the opening in the bar.
