I am going to play Dragon Age 2 soon* and I want some opinions. I have never played DA2 before, I played Origins completely blind, with no spoilers and I'd like to do the same for 2 as much as possible

My original plan was (since I played a female dwarf warrior in Origins) to play a male human rogue in DA2, and a female elven mage in Inquisition. I was wanting to play a fem elf mage exclusively to piss Solas off - I don't want to romance him (probably) but I do want to annoy him by being better at his job than he is, because that sounds funny as fuck

BUT. I have been told that a mage option in DA2 is the most narratively rewarding/impactful. And I'm a sucker for having my heart ripped open by video games :) also, I don't know much about the romance options, but I romanced Alistair in Origins if that means anything

so, who should my da2 Hawke be

I'm sorry but Sebastian's companion quest in the 3rd act is just tooo funny. You have Elthina like "calm tf down sebastian who would dare to attack me here?" and Anders is :))))) on the background. You have Sebastian being like "NO WAY divine would send an army upon innocents just bc of proximity" and then he proceeds to do the exact same thing if you spare Anders. Hawke and Leliana talk like they don't know each other DESPITE HAVING LIVED IN THE SAME TOWN. Leliana is like "if Kirkwall falls to magic, all of Thedas will follow, this is even more dangerous than Qunari invasion" then on DAI she's mage rights activist again... girl were you possessed in da2? What happened???
