Sebastian and Fenris being total traitors, meme compilation

Long story short, there is a party banter where Sebastian and Fenris plot to turn Merrill and Anders in to the templars. Which is, essentially, betrayal. And a very unearned betrayal at that.

Because seriously. There is not so much as a HINT at Merrill and Anders doing the same thing to either Sebastian or Fenris. There is no cutscene or party banter where either Merrill or Anders plot to give Fenris or Sebastian to THEIR respective enemies. This is backstabbing on Sebastian and Fenris's part, plain and simple. Backstabbing that is utterly unearned. They try to justify it by saying Merrill and Anders are "maleficar", but come on.

And the kicker? The reason they don't betray their friends like the traitors they want to be. Not because they realize doing so makes them dishonorable traitors, but because they're afraid of Hawke.

So essentially, they're both complete cowards. And bonus points for being dumb enough to have this conversation IN FRONT of Anders and Hawke. Especially since Anders can be DATING Hawke by this point. Even better (a.k.a. worse): Anders actually COMMENTS on their plan, pointing out that the templars DO know he exists, they just haven't caught him. (Frankly, they're lucky that's ALL Anders did). This shit is almost enough to start making you post in the "Anders was right" section.
