Thanks to @woundedsoul12 and @aetherflowers for tagging me in this! This is super interesting! Gentle soft feather light tags for @a-gay-bloodmage @themontess @caedharlowe @the-font-bandit @teine-mallaichte! Very interested to read all of these that have been going around!

How long on average do you spend writing 1 chapter?
Oh, it absolutely depends on the story. If it's a long fic, the way I often come back to chapters after other events have been written, you may be able to consider it months. But for shorter prompt-based works, maybe a week, maybe two. I did have a point in my early writing where I was averaging a chapter a week, but that is no longer feasible with *life*!
How long do you spend editing?
Probably too long. Though I've had a few beta readers now who have helped a ton with my editing process, I still hem and haw and second-guess myself all the time.
Favourite thing to write?
I love to write a flirty reparte. The back-and-forth banter, almost like a tennis match, gets me so jazzed. If I could just do that and never have to worry about plo,t I'd be in heaven. But alas.... There has to be a reason the blorbos are talking, I guess.
Endings. Partially because of my habit second second-guessing myself. I have one WIP right now that has had its ending rewritten three times. However, the final rewrite was to return it mostly to its first state, which is ironic, I realize. But in those rewrites, I was able to determine a better resolution for the world state I wanted to leave these characters in until the next installment.
But yeah... endings are hard, man.
Fic/story you are most proud of and why?
Hands down, the DABB I did this year. (I realize there are 2 DABBs; this was for the 10K DABB that started in March this year).
Bound by Blood- started as a small side plot in a friend's story The Lion's Words, which is now onto its second installment, What Vows I Kept. It is a phenomenal character study of Cullen Rutherford written as if in his personal diary, starting before the events of the Conclave Explosion. She indicated at one point that it would be awesome if someone could run with her small plot of a mage in Haven being given free rein to use blood magic to help bind fade tears around Ferelden and Orlais since the Herald couldn't be in so many places at once. She came up with the idea of the mage being escorted by 2 templars, and a scout, as well as some of the inciting incidents that happen along the plot. I have to give her that credit. But it was still one of the most in-depth works of character I've ever done as the story centers around 4 separate OC characters and the way their duty and past traumas disrupt this mission they've been sent out on.
Truly, I think it's the best thing I've ever written, and this DABB introduced me to an incredible collection of writers and artists that I am so glad I now have in my life. We're still active in that Discord server long after the event has ended because everyone is genuinely such a gem.
I do have a few shorter pieces to shout out, though.
An Innocent Lie- Is a fun, flirty, piece I wrote to build some tension into between the friendship my HOF, Zukal Tabris has with her constable Nathaniel Howe. I loved the way the banter and flirtacious dialogue came out in this one particularly.
And Though Its Really Over- is Explicit! But it's another flirty, yearny, steamy reunion piece between my HOF Zukal Tabris, and her ex lover and now King of Ferelden that takes place on HIS wedding night. It's fun.
The Light of Your Love - Was recently written for Kiss Week and yeah. It's Handers. It's a little suggestive. It's very sweet. I don't do fluff often enough.
