i just read dabbid's chapter and

i've only had dabbid for five and a half pages but if anything happens to him i'm gonna kill everyone on brandon's writing team and then myself

Dabbid wasn't Radiant. He wasn't brave. He wasn't smart. But today he hadn't been stupid either. Once, Kaladin had pulled Dabbid out of Damnation itself. It felt good to return that act of heroism with a small one of his own.

Every single word in the chapter 'Dabbid' in Rhythm of War is beautiful and worthy of tears.

Dabbid's voice throughout the chapter is so adorable. The way he doesn't speak because he's happy being Bridge Four different. He hasn't found the necessity to speak to be happy that he has friends now.

And the moments throughout.

Rlain taking charge and scolding Lift when she gets sidetracked.

Dabbid taking Lift's hand and thanking her. Twice. With so much feeling.

Rlain's anger at Dabbid having lied to his family, the kind you only feel about people you trust entirely.

And Lift defending Dabbid. The girl's a bit too...Lift at times but she's an Edgedancer through and through.

Lift 'accidentally' saving Teft and him starting to grouch as soon as he wakes.

Kaladin waking from his nightmares, and relaxing the moment he saw Dabbid and Rlain. Because they're people he trusts with his life. And then whispering, is this real? And Rlain kneeling to hold him and assure him it's real.

Kaladin laughing with pure joy when Teft says something (which we can assume would've been as grumpy as you'd have liked).

After the horror-nightmares, Kaladin being surrounded by family who has been worried about him, who saved him, who he feels completely safe with.

Bridge Four is family.

dabbid is my new favourite member of bridge four. i adore him. my baby. if anyone ever tries to say anything bad about him, i will destroy them single-handedly. dabbid you're different and wonderful and brave and i hope nothing bad happens to him

Bridge Four!!! Since the the number of my followers of both my accounts of instagram and Tumblr cracked the 3K mark last week, I thought something special was in order... So a great thanks to all of you for enjoying my mad, obsessive, fanart, training crunch with me! It has been and still is exhilarating and delightful to be all able to share the love for these books with so many people! ❤️ It's not full Bridge Four of course, but as many as I found reasonable and I finally managed to put faces to a few more of the names I haven't drawn before.
