When it comes to Pasithea’s confusing parents, I lean more into the origin of her being Hera and Dionysus’ daughter since it’s the most interesting and has a lot of potential for drama. That and I just find the idea of Dionysus as a dad really funny.

I have no clue how Hera and Dionysus could even have a kid but hey I didn’t write the og story 🤷‍♀️

Either Hera and Dio accidentally created Thea out of a hate filled fight, or they were both absolutely drunk and had a one night stand that they both agreed to never speak of. Regardless Pasithea was an accident.

Hera gave away Pasithea to be raised by Aphrodite to protect her from Zeus discovering her conception. I don’t really see Dionysus as a full time parent since he’s way too busy throwing parties and getting drunk all the time. But he does visit often to spend time with little Thea and leave her gifts (he def loves to spoil her).

Despite not being around all the time, Pasithea and Dionysus still have a healthy relationship (canon in the myths). I imagine Thea often goes to her papa for help on managing her hallucinations since he’s the god of madness and maybe he was the one who taught her how to craft hallucinogenics.

As a child, he’d never take her to his parties for obvious reasons, but it’s also funny to picture Dionysus just lounging on a cushion, drinking his wine while carrying a tiny toddler in his other arm like she’s a potato sack. He’s completely drunk and doesn’t even notice his kid trying to reach for a grape.

He calls her his little grape or flower.
