Hypnos: “Be sure to get plenty of sleep!”
Pasithea: “And don’t forget to take breaks!”
Random person: “Umm so I actually have a lot of work and—”
DID WE STUTTER?
...
If anyone says Aphrodite has no friends, or doesn't care about other women, I'm coming for you. I'm blowing you up with my mind
LOOK AT THIS. LOOK AT IT. SHE IS OFFERING TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT HYPNOS IF HE'S CAUSING PASITHEA MISERY.
You know how often this shit goes unchecked in Greek mythology? All the forced marriages, rapes, all that bullshit?
Look. She cares. She cares and I'm so normal about this moment-
If Pasithea had her own bit in God Games, I imagine her song would be a lot slower paced and jazzy to fit her whole “goddess of relaxation” theme as she tells Athena to not stress so much and have faith in herself and in Odysseus. Her song’s beat would sound a lot like this (which is my favorite!) but probably changed a bit to match the rhythm/beat of the God Games song
What if when Hypnos was running away from Zeus on Olympus, he bumps into Pasithea, who hides him somewhere or distracts Zeus for a bit to help him escape, making the chthonic god fall in love with her more
— I love my pasihypnos and how Pasithea is so colorful in the background of Hypnos.
Going off of the version of Pasithea’s origin where’s she’s Hera and Dionysus’ illegitimate child, I imagine Hera not only married her off to Hypnos as a bargaining tool, but to also protect her from Zeus since she’d be under the protection of Nyx and the other chthonic gods as her in-laws
I’ve seen both your art of Dionysus and Pasithea and I absolutely love them!
In some iterations, Pasithea is considered the daughter of Dionysus, while in others she’s Zeus’ daughter. Assuming the Pasithea artwork you already made is the version where she’s Zeus’ child, how differently would you depict her as Dionysus’ daughter? Would she look the same, or have purple eyes or horns like him?
The reason why being Dionysus daughter is only mentioned in Dionysiaca isn't taken as a standard source because it was written way later after ancient Greece and also Nonnus doesn't mention why or how did Hera have children with Dionysus which that alone would be crazy considering Heras character and why Zeus wouldn't for some reason be mad at that situation
