Silver called Lance "Dad" once (very much accidentally) and that's when Lance started filling out the adoption paperwork
Yeah, I know it’s a somewhat common Dad Lance trope for him to lovingly force Silver to wear one of his capes when it’s cold, though Silver always fusses about how ridiculous they look
But what if Lance pulled this ol’ thing out of the back of his closet? What then????
((Work’s got me too busy to write or draw anything atm, but I had this mental image and would like to share it with the class))
With regards to the "Lance uses dragon raising techniques to figure out how to deal with this sassy lost child" I especially love when it takes the route of like .. you cannot be wishy-washy when raising a dragon. likewise you cant be too soft on silver or he'll walk all over you. and even more crucially he will not respect you, which in turn would mean your presence would not be reassuring to him and he would know u can't help him. area teen shocked to learn that adults can be firm and strict .. but also considerate and kind and FAIR about it
THIS. Just like a hostile dragon, Lance has to do everything in his power to make sure that dragon learns tough love. It needs to understand the boundaries put between them. Silver and Lance's relationship starts rocky but is mostly one-sided. Lance had to meet Silver with his own energy before he shows his heart to him, and Silver is SHOCKED.
lets look the same as mama!!
they make me sick
behind every digital artist is a shitposter waiting to be unleashed
Lance doesn’t adopt children. The children adopt him as dad.
Silver has such black cat vibes/just cat vibes in general. (I mean his ace can literally be considered a cat.)
Hc that whenever he wants affection he goes up to Lance, Ethan or just any of the people he's actually close to and maybe for once he's actually feeling softer than usual so he leans into them a little, and immediately the cat rule of "do not freaking move" applies because if you move Silver immediately jumps off you and acts as if nothing happened.
Clair texts Lance one day asking why he hasn't come to the Dragon's Den yet:
"Can't move there's a cat on my lap." And Silver is just laying beside him, head pressed against his shoulder and Lance is still as a statue.
