i love being able to confidently say that i've been out of christianity for a while now. it's just through morality and struggles with keeping certain concepts with the religion. i don't really like how women are "supposed" to act. the whole bible's "femininity" message is super misogynistic and yeah. i just can't get over the whole fear mongering stuff. i can't really get over the fear mongering here.

I really like how Wild Kratts made Koki's side profile accurate to a Black woman's side profile. It just fits and makes the representation all that sweeter.

And just as I predicted, I’ve came across approximately 3x as many “I’m a beta reader and these are my rates” posts just in this evening compared to what I normally see in a month’s time. Surely I’m not the only one who knew this would be a thing after the recent Claudapocalypse

I’d just like to take a sec to remind folks, especially those new to writing or who are tackling fics larger than they know how to manage just yet, that if someone makes their entire identity about how you can pay them to read your works, you’re better off staying away.

Best case scenario, they’re legit. Worst case scenario, you’re throwing money into the abyss for crickets. But they’re most likely case scenario? They’re gonna run your fic through the very same AI mess that you’re trying to avoid and you’re going to pay them to do it

There are actual betas out there. Look for those that can’t stop talking about their favs, not accounts that popped up 2 days ago and immediately started asking for money. Remember that you’re writing for yourself first and fandom second, but being active in your fandom comes with perks

That may be true. Then branch out to other fandoms you’re in. Read and comment on what you like. Speaking from personal experience, some of my most thoughtful comments have came from folks that know jack shit about Pokemon but who returned the favor after i interacted with their work. Sometimes unbiased opinions are the very thing you need

On the last part. the majority of my fandoms are bus sized even van sized small. there are 5 other people there. let me tell you, just do crossovers with more popular fandoms. that is such a fucking good cheat code. I remember one of the fic authors of my super small fandom catfished a whole ass big ass fandom because they made a crossover.

what really gets me about these posts is that madison hu would GENUINELY be a great fit for mai. she could perfectly nail her dry, snarky personality, and even has the perfect voice for it. yet everyone with this viewpoint only ever brings her up to tear down thalia tran. they only praise madison because they can't tolerate a mai who isn't built like a stick. they take their displeasure out on thalia herself rather than the people who handle casting. they don't even bother to learn either actress's name. the comments of this very post prove this.

it is FINE to not be a fan of a certain casting, but if the reason is solely because of looks, you need to examine why. and for the love of god, STOP making fat jokes, especially where the subject of said jokes can see.

and even then, they don't care about herself as a character. they only care about her looks. now it's like, 'oh she's best girl!' but like, you only care about the fact that the actress is 'fat' instead of caring about how the actress portrays the character. i've always liked mai as a character, and i haven't seen the live action, but i think this behavior is disgusting. i personally don't care about the actress much. mainly because i haven't seen it, but honestly, she doesn't even look fat. she's just filled out and healthy. it's like round face=fat for these people.

happy disability pride month and once again, FUCK lazy subtitles. fuck the [speaks foreign language] instead of actually transcribing the words, fuck shortening sentences and changing whats been said for no reason, fuck censoring swearing in captions but not in audio and fuck anyone who says youre being 'too sensitive' for being upset about a lack of accessibility

i love being androgynous a lot. like ninety percent of the time. i love it. i can do man and woman. also there's no need to wait for the woman's restroom. i can go in the men's. my husband is as equally androgynous as me. we both love it. we can share our clothes. we've been mistaken as a straight couple, well, i guess we are, but sometimes they mistake me as the husband and my husband as the wife. my husband and i often trade off in styles. we do share the same clothes given we're kinda the same size and stature. we just share our clothes. when i wanna wear feminine, he wears masculine. when i wanna wear masculine, he wears feminine. we on a wavelength i tell you. wavelength~ ooh~ *insert ghosty sounds*

I have originshipping headcanons even though I don’t ship it. I’m more personally a graceful and blacksteel person myself, and also shipping Wallace with Lance, but who says I can’t have fun with a ship? Who the fuck cares.

Steven is a short KING. He often wishes he had Wallace’s height. Wallace finds it cute.

Wallace tops for sure. Fight me if I’m wrong. Just look at that man. I can not look at that man and think, yeah that guy’s bottom. He has to top.

Lisia often teases Steven and tag teams with Wallace. She often sees them as the fun uncles.

As proper as Steven wants to be, he has a mouth of a sailor. Wallace often had to have secluded dates with Steven or else his PR will go down. Wallace also has to cover Steven’s mouth when Lisia was around.

Wallace did fix Steven’s sailor’s mouth quite a bit. Which is why May and Brendan didn’t have to learn all the ✨fun✨ words Steven can teach them.

Wallace is an early riser and Steven does not sleep. Like at all. Steven downs coffee like a grumpig. His greed for coffee is like biblical levels of greed. Wallace doesn’t drink coffee though. He drinks tea. He puts in some green tea to help with Steven’s caffeine addiction.

Steven definitely made the ring. And he definitely proposed.

Steven is usually a flirt, but he completely shuts down when Wallace flirts. Because Wallace is a freak. But he’s my freak.

Steven talks in elements as a love language.

Wallace transitioned and that’s how Steven fell in love.
