          He wasn’t scared of, well... You know. The big guy. The boss. Hell, he was all of eleven when the guy was defeated the first time. But here he was, older, wiser, and a servant to him. Well, at least he had dear old dad to thank for that. It wasn’t all bad, he supposed-- Being a Selwyn had its perks, certainly-- But let’s just say Humphrey never imagined he’d live his life as an informant to the Dark Lord.

hi i’m bubbles and i love snakes, when can i come over to pet her? if she likes that, that is. i have a cat and his name is shagor—wouldn’t make him into a horcrux tho because he literally allows everyone to pet him and he’s lazy af and somehow i feel like that wouldn’t make for a good horcrux.

               The majority of his life had been survived in some type of fear. For himself– was he going to end up on the end of his foster mother’s belt receiving lashings that he didn’t deserve or was he going to take them because his sister was smaller and she most certainly didn’t need that type of pain inflicted upon her. Nights where he laid in bed and wondered if Mary Lou would decide that he was more trouble than he was worth? It had happened before why wouldn’t it happen again? Credence knew fear– so standing here in front of a stranger that he was sure could do no more harm than had already been inflicted upon him in his short life scared was probably the word furthest from his mind. Although if you looked at him one would think otherwise. Drawn in on himself, looking anywhere but at the man that had spoken to him Credence all but radiated fear.

                Now that he looked up and actually took in the man in front of him he was– at least a little unnerved. Although the worst that could happen was he’d not have to go home that night and if that was the case he’d be relieved. 

                                         Freedom comes with a cost.
