Xavier set the table because she had cooked after all and it seemed like she had cooked for them both and honestly he hadn't had much time for a home cooked meal in awhile. It's not that he didn't know how to cook just that he never had the time so his assistant always picked him up something. Once he was done setting the table he started bringing the food over and setting it in the middle of the table. Everything smelled and looked amazing, he then grabbed a bottle of wine and sat it on the table.

His gaze moved to hers when she spoke and he realized what she was looking at, his bandaged hand. His other hand came up and he gently rubbed his hands together as his eyes met hers "He was one of the people I saw tonight yes" he didn't want to lie to her. What's the point, perhaps her knowing that he was giving her father the karma he deserved it would make her feel better. "You don't have to worry about him okay? you're safe here" he admitted.

He walked towards her slowly and gently moved his bandaged hand up and he gently brushed a bit of what he assumed was herbs from her cheek "and don't hesitate to let me know if theres ever anything you need?" he admitted gaze meeting hers but now his thumb was gently caressing her cheek.
