here's my interpretation of the shedletsky = nooby's dad headcanon/AU because im bored lalala
(oh yea my version of nooby is a they/them btw so yea dont mind me using a noncanon set of pronouns lmao)
technically brightshed isnt actually canon in roblox lore (we dont even know if irleyes and irletsky's characters have met), so im gonna say shed is a single dad in my version of this headcanon. his retirement was partially him being tired of his job but also i think it was also kinda js to take care of nooby since he was always so busy and at work lmao (alternatively tho, i like the idea of it being an honourable discharge where shedletsky was permanently injured in some way and unable to continue work as an admin because of it, im thinking it could've happened due to 1x or something, especially since they were foreshadowed in the ghost episode too!)
im torn between making nooby an only child and making them a youngest child. if i did make them a youngest child though they'd only have one older sibling, and that sibling would not be a shedletsky alt! but so far im leaning towards only child nooby, i think it'd make sense for them lol. either way, nooby is definitely adopted (i havent come up with a story on how it happened yet, but i do know i want nooby to have been adopted at like a slightly older age to kinda explain their childish behaviour [not too old though, like maybe 4-6 years old?]. im thinking that maybe they were always a foster child and more neglectful foster homes, which resulted in some emotional stunting? OOH, or nooby could've been like those children with old souls who grow up into adults with young souls or whatever), they're just a normal noob and not related to shedletsky by blood.
nooby would have a pretty great relationship with shedletsky, and it's always been that way. shed is js a normal, cheesy, jokey dad here. he's definitely the sort who encouraged his kid to do whatever they want with their identity and hobbies, so that's kinda why nooby never grew out of their more childish habits (or alternatively, if we go w the mature kid nooby to childish adult nooby pipeline idea, we could say shed's own attitude inspired nooby to embrace their inner child over the years and learn not to be ashamed of it. that idea actually leans into their current emotional intelligence in canon better as well i really like that).
...though, im thinking another reason that was the case is because shed maybe homeschooled nooby and overall sheltered them alot because despite not looking like it, he could be quite protective (maybe this trait developed because of the 1x related incident i mentioned earlier?). this was mainly due to exploiter related danger, shed didnt want nooby to get caught in any attacks, and because of this the two of them lived in a more isolated area, and nooby mainly only talked to shedletsky and maybe a few of his friends, until nooby eventually became an adult and wanted to move out, at which point shed comes to terms w the fact his child is all grown up and lets them go (I CAME UP W THIS ON THE SPOT ACTUALLY TS PEAK THO)
oh also, like i said in an earlier ask about this idea, i think shedletsky wouldve been honest about his past and actually told nooby he used to work with builderman, but nooby js.. never takes him seriously. "oh dad, you're so funny! let's get you back to bed" ahh (shedletsky, being the prankster he is, does pull jokes on nooby alot so they genuinely have reasons to believe this was the case). they basically remain completely oblivious to the fact that shed was telling the truth until he like maybe runs into nooby and their friends while they were hanging out together (even if nooby somehow does not know about the most popular admin, bacon definitely does, he'd lose his damn mind when he first meets him LMAO).
