Lingering Will knight AU

It involves Terra cursed to be an empty suit of armor looking for his heart, a la the Lingering Will from KH2/3

I'm the prince of the kingdom whose outskirts he's haunting, and I hear that nobody who's ever challenged him has ever come back

Naturally, I have to see him for myself, like an idiot. So I ride off into the night to find him and nearly get myself killed for it. But he's so taken aback by how fucking inexperienced I am with real combat that he immediately knows I'm no knight, and refuses to fight me further.

I need to fill in the blanks but hnnn hot cursed knight boyfriend

It eventually ends with the power of our TRUE LOVE breaking the curse, obviously

he's still my hot knight boyfriend, it's just now we can kiss.

it also made me think of a branch off storyline about @adoredbyalatus and aqua in a classic dragon and lady knight tale XD

and a cute fantasy inn scene with bard!demyx and… man there's so much potential for @apisamorabundus tbh, i'll have to ask your input bee

OKAY, so basically the story is one day, night came as normal, but like... for the ENTIRE WORLD. The sun just didn't come up anymore. And then this moon appeared, and forests and weird plants started popping up out of absolutely nowhere. And then twilight came, and people thought it was over, but nope. It was just the result of a moon-like entity that swallowed the sun. And THAT brought forth a bunch of monsters that came out of the woods. (These moons take turns, so sometimes it's pitch black with a blood red moon, sometimes it's late twilight with a pale silver one) Which basically chipped away at society until it turned into "Kingdoms" (basically an area of territory with an old major city in the middle) and "Villages" (smaller self-sufficient towns). The cities built big walls to keep out the riffraff, so to speak (aka they have electricity and resources and fuck everyone else). People still travel the roads in cobbled-together vehicles or even use certain domesticated monsters as mounts or carriage pullers.

Dern's story takes place in the Kingdom of Tenebrous (also the name of one of my OCs from this universe, but he's not part of a kingdom, it's just a coincidence). He has a cart full of bullshit that he sells, but he makes most of his money on maps that he charts and draws himself. (Also, the currency for this universe is cards. Like, playing cards, tarot cards, board game cards, etc. They've all been assigned worth based on the type.) You can usually find him on the side of the road near the edges between civilization and just open darkness, where he'll peddle his wares and services. He's very lonely in more ways than one, so he comes off a little strong, but he's friendly and harmless.

OKAY, I had to give you TWO options because I was torn between a dragon and an eldritch beast.

First is Misridya, a black dragon that was forced to eat a demon core (the demon hunter/Illidari initiation ritual), and is now fel-bound. She was extremely angry about this while she was reluctantly serving the Illidari, but now she's free to be as big a bitch to anyone she wants all the time forever.

Second is ATROPA!!! One of my absolute favorites, they're a piece of the void that traveled through a rift to reach Azeroth. It's only benevolent the way a kid with an ant farm is. They looove mortals in a very dehumanizing way. It loves making friends, but you never get the feeling that they're seeing you as anything but a puppy or something.

i don't have any fancy date ideas but please take a moment with me to imagine the tsaritsa throwing a winter ball for the harbingers including our moot self inserts as their respective plus ones for the night. and each of us are thinking "wow these people are all freaks. thank archons we're the only normal couple here."

okay yeah, anyway, last night i was REEEALLY high on sleep aid and my brain created this whole ass comfort DILF to fantasize about JUST BECAUSE my brain dredged this post up from the depths of my inebriated psyche
