I need to say my peace: I don't care if XO, Kitty is an American girl's Korean fantasy and made for teenagers. I genuinely love it and even though it's objectively bad, it's written better than most shows.

(Random) Commentaries:

- I really love Minho and Kitty being more expressive. I don't just mean the obvious communication, but all of the little expressions of Minho being straightforward by saying "I'm glad you invited yourself" or "I'm really lucky to have you", and Kitty saying "look for me in the crowd" quite flirtatiously. I really love this new dynamic of being more divulging of deep information in this "will we, won't we" stage, and Minho being eager to offer up how he feels because he can tell Kitty likes him now (leading up to the tour)

- I love how Dae's in the middle of Kitty and Minho's fight and how he just comedically removes himself from the room, only to place himself into getting them back together later (symbolism!! 💕)

- On track with these last two points: NoT KiTTy sAyiNg MiNho's fiRsT loVe being aRoUnd hIm mAkes heR feel kiNd oF wEiRd aS Dae's just leFT the Room!!!😂 (I don't know if this was intentional but I love this kind of humor) i love them!

- I appreciate the future talk. The way it happened really solidified Kitty and Minho as a serious couple that you don't often see depicted in high school along w/merging lives established in 2 separate nations

- I feel bad for Jiwon's pressure of meeting expectations from Halmoni. I appreciate the storyline being included (again more matute themes and topics). That dinner was rough.

- I don't blame Marius for being demeaning to Q's worth while being stuck in the closet. But he also shouldn't get back with Q (as he said)

- I enjoyed the inclusion of more mature topics and Eunice dealing with a pregnancy scare

- Q crying + yelling outside the restaurant was peak drama, even if it was cheating drama. props to Anthony Keyvan

- The emphasis on Kitty's independence: The lines from Jiwon about not focussing on a boy (she was lowkey projecting but it's ok), Lara Jean's insistence on it, Kitty and Minho having a convo closely related towards this topic and Kitty providing her own wisdom on Minho's uncertainty)

- "Maybe he will, maybe he won't" -the line from Minho about his dad coming around. Growth. (I appreciate that depiction in a television series: The non-closure but settlement of peace)

Can I also say how obsessed I am with the XO, Kitty friend group? They never actually do unforgivable things to each other, and of course they make mistakes but they patch things up and they think of each other, they try to understand each other without being judgemental. Giving advice without actually over stepping. Like yes it's a high school drama, but I love them for how they handle it

I watched xo kitty yesterday right (great show I need s4 like yesterday) but I’m now seeing everyone in shock and freaking out that Dae and Alex had sex with their respective girlfriends. Like oh my god a 17-18 year old and a grown ass man had consensual sex with their romantic partners?? The horror. The scandal. Dae is no longer my widdle uwu baby he’s a fucking FREAK bc he said he slept with his girlfriend. Alex, my cute sweet 25 year old man, how could you??

After seeing S3 there are things that I definitely believe the XO, Kitty writers forgot about their own show:

Alex and Yuri being siblings. He is about to have a baby, why his sister isn't involved in the conversation?

Also, Alex having a mom. Why was she written off like that? Not even a mention on it.

Kitty crush in Yuri, this was a major plot in the first two seasons and they didn't even address it now. Yeah, she likes MinHo now but not even a mention of this? They talked about Dae and Kitty, why not discuss the other important love in Kitty's live. They just brush it under the rug.

Jin personality. He was this athlete and reformed bully in S2 who was trying to became better. Then S3 he just rotates around Q, with a few mentions on what he may like.

Q being a cheater after spending two entire season talking about how much he hates cheaters and was the main reason he and Florian broke up.

MinHo having a mother that loves him and support him. I understand his dad is a jerk, but his mother while distant seems to be on his side. Why didn't he reached to her when all the chaos happened or when his dad was being awful?

Okay, I'm all for the 'Minho looking at Kitty' posts, but can we also appreciate how Kitty looks at him? Especially during the "i miss you" scene and the private jet scene!?
