✞ Deïanira was in need of a new ritual dagger. Her old one just didn’t cut it anymore, kind of felt wrong to use, and she generally just wanted a new one. Though she had no idea where to find one that she deemed fit, browsing the second hand stores in city for a dagger she could use. It certainly wasn’t too easy, especially considering knivlagen, which prohibited anyone from even selling her a knife. Of course there were always shops who didn’t ask for id, but so far each shop had and, since she was too young, she had to lie that she forgot her id. Thus, no knife for her.
The shop she had just spotted, however, might actually be a success. It was small, didn’t seem to earn all too much money (which meant the owner would be glad about any krona he earned), and the store windows looked like exactly the kind of things she could need. She had to focus though, she only had enough for a pretty high-quality dagger (and it had to be high-quality, lest she did not want to die of BLOOD POISONING.
When she entered her gaze immediately fell upon a small table in a certain corner of the room. She did not know why, but something about that table almost magically attracted her attention, and she came closer. There were five to six knives in all shapes and forms on it, but one seemed especially fit. It was a dagger, just as she needed, silver with ripled steel, and she knew she had to have it. So she grabbed it, and immediately felt there was something... Odd about it. It had a certain aura, and she wasn’t sure whether or not that aura was GOOD. But she would have enough time to find that out, once she got out of the shop.
She went to the cash register and, as expected, wasn’t asked for her id, simply paid and left, clinging on to the dagger, before she took a decent look at it outside. It was beautiful though strange, and she loved it - at least she thought so, in that very specific moment.
