OOC: For some reason I can’t help but think that this song seriously defines both Count Arganan and Dagran.
Both do some things that they’re haunted by later on. Count Arganan, at the end of the game, if you find his journal—in his journal he apparently confesses to having all these insecurities and feeling guilt at using Calista for his own selfish intentions.
Dagran, during his death scene, confesses that he regrets forsaking his friends for the sake of revenge. He knows that he should have looked past it, but he didn’t, and he knows that was what caused his downfall and he’s so guilty for using his friends for his own ends.
Both, in the end, are haunted and they can’t get past their regret over their actions.
AND THIS SONG JUST MAKES ME SHIP THEM SO HARD. XDDD
