Start healthy habits when your young, because they will more likely stick with you for the rest of your life. This kid clearly is going to be squatting like an animal when he's older, he already has fantastic form..lol..
But all kidding aside, make choices into habits and habits will become lifestyles. This is a lot easier when your younger and your more flexible in many different areas of the word.

MAYBE WE WERE REALLY SUPPOSED TO BE VEGETARIANS?
IT’S YOUR CHOICE OF COURSE……….JUST FOOD FOR THOUGHT. The answer may not be all or nothing, but I think everyone can make more diet decisions that incorporate more vegetarian food choices and less of a focus on eating lots of Protein because we all need to eat lots of meat to get ripped right?.....wrong. But more of that to come in other posts. For now i thought it would be interesting to share this slide that Dr. Robert presented in one of his lectures. Make your own conclusions

You do not always have to dish out the extra money on organic foods. Sometimes buying organic is not always as important for some foods as it is for others. This is important to know for all of us shoppers who want to eat healthy fresh food. We should make an effort to buy some foods organic and we can save the money and not worry about buying organic for other foods. Usually foods with a peel, skin or outer layer of some sort is usually ok to eat non organic. Above is is a brief list of the worst and best foods to buy organic. If you find it helpful, feel free to print it out and post it on your fridge as a good reminder.
Fitness Advice: There is No Best Workout Routine
People are always asking “what is the best type of work out regimen to follow? Which exercises are the best?” Is short high intensity better than long endurance type of workouts?” etc etc..
Everyone wants an answer, but the truth is that there is no universal workout routine that is best for everyone and yes some exercises and routines are more inefficient than others but for the most part the most important principal above all other principals in fitness is that staying dedicated and committed to any type of consistent exercise routine will produce results. The most important thing is that you are able to constantly being physically active. Also it is important that you are able to measure your improvement and progress in whichever exercise or physical activity you decide to follow and perform. So whether it is Crossfit, training for a 10k run, 30 mile bike rides, yoga, sports, weight training, etc. you need to be able to measure your performance in those activities to compare later on if you have made objective progress or not. In Crossfit you measure past WOD times, and Olympic Lifts, in training for runs and bike rides you can measure your endurance, distance and times for routes, in yoga you can measure your ability to push yourself into exploring new poses and etc.
I guarantee if you “practice” an exercise regimen consistently then you will improve your performance in that activity. That repetitive message that mom always preached, “practice, practice, practice,”---is true. And by practice I mean work on improving your strength, endurance and skills in any of the physical activities you choose to, Try not to bounce around exercise regimens because then you won’t be able to stick to a regimen long enough to yield the results you want. Remember progress is made every workout you complete and goals are reached in the long term. A nice question to frame each workout by is by asking yourself, “did I get fitter today?” The answer no matter how you preformed should be yes, because just participating in physical activity is a step forward to being fitter and healthier.
Dedication to fitness fuels progress and improvement and vice versa Progress and improvement in fitness fuels dedication and passion those fitness activities and healthy lifestyles.
Final Thought:
There is no “best” fitness activity; the most important thing is that you are consistently participating in physical activities where you can measure progress and improvement in your performance and abilities. Stay Active, Stay Committed and You Will Be Happier and Healthier.
Tips to Feel Good and Boost Your Confidence
“You’ll Like the Way You Look, I Guarantee It.”-Men's Wearhouse
Warning: some of these tips to require you spend money, but it does not have to be much. Think of it as investing in your self-esteem and happiness. Does your happiness have a price tag? I didn’t think so.
Get a Haircut-Sandler might have been onto something with the Don’t Mess With the Zohan. Getting a new doo or grooming what you already have going on can make a huge difference in how you feel about yourself. If you are confident about how you look, then you are likely to be confident in your abilities in other areas of your life. Feeling good about yourself could mean the difference between making a poor excuse to stay home on Friday or go out and socialize with friends. Don’t wait months until getting your next haircut (unless of course your purposely growing out that mane).
Buy a New Article of Clothing or an Entire Outfit. Whether it is a new pair of pants, shirt, shoes, etc. You may be more motivated to take pride and make an effort into the way you look. And as I mentioned in other articles, dressing nicely can be helpful for a person to be more motivated and confident. You don’t have to buy an entire new wardrobe; it just takes one new purchase to help make you feel good about the way you look and them. So buy something that fits well and looks good, maybe it will be the extra push you need to get out of the house.
Get a Massage. I don’t think this one needs much explanation on how it can help you feel good. Reward yourself and Reward your body. A massage can clear your mind and revitalize your body. Worried about the price, then ask a friend or close other to step up and help you out. Tell them it is for your overall happiness with life, and then they can’t say no. Or consider investing in a cheap massage pad. Like this one: http://www.store-us.spoonkspace.com/
Men: Shave Your Face or Groom Your Beards. This is all relative. It shows that you care about the way you look and you care about yourself. The simple act of shaving shows that you take time for your own self, and you are not lazy.
Women: Hit the Salon. I can’t say for sure on this one about the affect on confidence and feeling good about yourself but I have sisters and I know how much they enjoy getting their nails done so I thought it was a safe recommendation.
Music of the Week: Top 5 Energizing Songs to Get You Going
Need some help staying motivated, being active, getting outside and taking life “by the horns?” Here are my top 5 energy pumping, “get me going” songs that are currently on Spotify’s top lists.
Sail by Awol nation
Radioactive by Imagine Dragons
Scream & Shout by will.i.am
Sweet Nothing by Calvin Harris
Anything Can Happen by Ellie Goulding
These tracks always seem to do the trick and give me that little extra mental booster I need, especially during a grueling Crossfit workout. Music can play a significant role in regards to getting you going when you need a little push.
Even when your eating, sleeping and work habits are all on point, some days we need a little extra motivation. Music can be the tipping point between running those tough, enduring 6 miles or giving up after a slow paced 2 mile jog. Don’t believe me? In fact, it’s music’s dual ability to distract attention (a psychological effect) while simultaneously goosing the heart and the muscles (physiological impacts) that makes it so effective during everyday exercise. Multiple experiments have found that music increases a person’s subjective sense of motivation during a workout, and also concretely affects his or her performance. The resulting interactions between body, brain and music are complex and intertwined. It’s not simply that music motivates you and you run faster. It may be that, instead, your body first responds to the beat, even before your mind joins in; your heart rate and breathing increase and the resulting biochemical reactions join with the music to exhilarate and motivate you to move even faster. Scientists hope to soon better understand the various nervous system and brain mechanisms involved. But for now, they know that music, in most instances, works. It eases exercise. In a typical study, from 2008, cyclists who rode in time to music used 7 percent less oxygen to pedal at the same pace as when they didn’t align themselves to the songs (Reynolds, 2010).
If you don’t like the songs I recommended then no problem, search through your library or radio and narrow down your own “go-to motivational” songs that get you pumped up and then try to listen to them more frequently before and during your workout to get your mind in the right place and your body in synch with an energized beat. Press play and push yourself.
If you were going to make 1 diet change, I would recommend that it be to eat more Kale. This could be my number 1 superfood. And if you do decide to eat more kale, make an effort to eat raw kale, cooking it depletes its of the powerful nutrients that make it such a powerfully beneficial food.
Final Diagnosis: Eat Kale
