I'm starting to cook a coherent plot for this thing, and that's gonna show in some of the descrpitons.
Otonashi Haruna x Tzitzi-Ya-Ku
I'm giving my girl a giant flash for her camera. Haruna and her Tzitzi have a habit of going to investigate shady stuff, so Tzitzi's ability to flash and stun enemies came in useful many times. Together, they travel to many places, searching for information on Kidou's whereabouts. The main reason why Haruna became a rider is to find her brother, who left with his monsters years before and never came back for her.
Fideo Aldena x Azure Rathalos
Are they paired mostly because blue is a predominant color in Fideo? Yes, I can't deny it... But I have a plan with this, let me cook!
Being paired with such a rare partner is both a blessing and a curse for Fideo, who finds himself to be the go-to rider whenever his city has to face any crisis. Still, the bond between the boy and his fire wyvern runs very deep, and they spend entire days flying in the sky together, scouting the vicinity of the city and keeping it safe.
Kabeyama Heigorou x Dodogama
If Fudou got a medal for getting one of my favorite monsters, Kabeyama gets a whole ass trophy for getting paired with my favorite guy ever! Really, I love the Dodogama with all my heart, I'm still waiting for it to become a Monstie in Stories... Anyway, being a year younger than his friends, Kabeyama became a rider a year after them, so he is a bit more inexperienced than they are. Still, once he fights off his fears and insecurities, Kabeyama proves to be an invaluable ally to Endou, Someoka and Kazemaru, his Dodogama helping by opening paths through the rock and literally eating away at landslides blocking paths. This duo moves to their own pace, but once they get in the heat of the action, they know how to deal with it!
Daisuke Endou x Shara Ishvalda
The man, the myth, the legend. He is a legend in this universe too, making a bond with an Elder Dragon when he was just a young rider, and a Shara Ishvalda at that! This dragon may look scary, but listen it is called "Earth Singing Dragon" and it comes in a rock-enveloped form when you first encounter it, it screamed Daisuke to me! Anyway, by forming the bond with this monster, Daisuke started being treated almost as a deity in his village, no matter how much he tried to stop that. He ended up overshadowing all other riders in the village, gaining a lot of resentment because of that. Trying to catch a break from all that drama, Daisuke decided to focus on teaching the new generation of riders the ropes of the job, becoming a big role model for all the youngsters of the village. Still, tragedy struck him and his monster when they caught the eye of Garshield and his Nergigante. They ended up in a bitter fight, and Daisuke and his Shara Ishvalda were defeated. they are presumed dead by the village, but both of them survived, even if Shara Ishvalda lost one of its wings as a result of the fight. Oh, Daisuke hatched Shara Ishvalda from an egg, so it is very young and it has not yet reached the size of the monster we fight in Iceborn.
Kageyama Tougo x Rathalos
Yes, he had the same monster as Gouenji and Fideo. Why? Because I like to torture Kageyama, sorry not sorry. Tougo was a respectable and reliable rider, the one everyone looked up to, at least until Daisuke showed back up at their village with a baby Shara Ishvalda with him. At first, Tougo tried not to let the change get to him, but the more Daisuke overshadowed him, the more resentful he became. Trying to regain some of the village's respect, he launched himself into more and more reckless acts, endangering himself and sometimes other hunters as well. And the more reckless he became, the more the village pulled away, commenting often on how low he had fallen. Reached his boiling point, one day Tougo challenged Daisuke to a duel, ending up defeated and later banished for having attacked a fellow villager. He left behind his son, knowing he'd be safer in the village than out in the wild with him. Later, he and his partner were attacked and killed by Garshield and his Nergigante, who seem to have a particular beef with Rathalos and Rathians.
