Levallan: so anyway our gods are super cool and the dread wolf sucks and that’s why we have these cool face tattoos
Post-Trespasser
Levallen:
June, dalish god of the craft. I couldn’t find what the “June’s knot” puzzle looks like so he has a generic rope puzzle instead.
Or with an unfortunate translation blunder from yours truly: June, the dalish god of arts and crafts.
If I had to pick favorites, it would definitely be June and Sylaise.
(This design makes zero sense but I committed through sheer spite lmao. The headdress is based on the skull of June from the wiki, the rest is me going “hmm crafts isn’t just woodwork and smithing, the dalish need to know weaving and textile work to thrive in the land too”. Yes I realize it overlaps with Sylaise shhhhhh they’re said to be siblings anyway they can share domains. Some inspiration taken from the solas concept art but I hope it’s not too close dsdgf i just wanted them to match)
Ok let's be honest, the only reason why solas doesnt like the dalish is because he's salty that they view him as the great adversary who locked away their gods, and not as a friemd of the people who ended their slavery
I continue to draw stories about the Dalish.
Another story about Fen'Harel.
This picture was inspired by the ending of the story "Martyr" by Widowling.
And Varric's line that Solas will weep over a single flower in a burnt field. I think it's clear that this single flower is his vhenan.
And I was really struck by the story in the artbook about the evanuris possibly kidnapping and killing Lavellan.
I wanted to draw Wolf crying over lost love, but dreaming that the spark of her spirit will ignite a flame.
I continue to draw stories about the Dalish gods.
A little more dread wolf.
One day, when Fen'Harel was napping in the fade, a dreamer found him. The Dalish elf, though she was the first, didn't recognize Fen'Harel and told him that he was a very handsome wolf. And that she would be happy to hear his stories.
I continue to draw Dalish gods.
After all, Dalish myths are very different from the real Evanuris. And I want to draw the Dalish gods as various animals. Why shouldn't the other gods have animal forms too?
Sylaise is the Keeper of the Hearth. She gave fire and taught how to use it, spin, and care for the sick and children. She is also the goddess of marriage. Of course, the Keeper of the Hearth is a cat.
June is the god of crafts. He taught how to make bows and aravels. Therefore, June is a beaver.
For June and Sylaise, no animal symbols were specified in the codex. So I used a bit of imagination.
Thanks to everyone who contributed their suggestions.
Other Dalish gods: Fen'Harel; Falon'din, Dirthamen, Ghilan'nain, Andruil
I continue to draw the Dalish gods.
After all, Dalish myths are very different from the real Evanuris.
Andruil is the goddess of hunting, luck, and survival. She taught the Dalish how to hunt and gave them bows. Andruil also cared for animals and taught the elves to treat them with respect.
I drew Andruil in two forms.
I couldn't resist the image of a hare.
The hawk represents the hunt. The hare represents survival.
And besides, the hare and hawk forms perfectly describe Andruil. End and means. Prey and hunter. Two halves of a whole.
