Nevarra is a large country so there are a whole lot of Nevarren Dalish Clans and no two are the same. I specifically want to make HCs for Clans that would make their home in the desert.
Many old elvhen ruins have been swallowed up by the sands, but the Dalish have found elaborate ways of accessing them, and have turned them into intricate metropolises underground. They continue to find new relics and magics, and they tend to be favoured and respected highly by the other clans since they always have vast amounts of knowledge wealth to bring to the Arlathvhen.
Their harts have evolved to handle and traverse the desert sands and climate. So imagen the camel equivalent of a hart.
Most humans they meet in their travels are either dead or dying so they tend to have a much calmer and less hostile approach to humans, although they still refuse to interact or stay in the company of one for too long. They remember history.
Because of this, Desert Dalish elves are more myth and legend to anyone else. Whether it be humans, dwarves or elves from the city. Most who claim to have possibly met a Dalish from the desert was near death, only remembering the burning sun and shadowy figures. When they next wake up they’re at the nearest city.
The Dalish clans that hail from the desert love music, one particular city the elves restored underground is so densely populated that the other clans have given that area the adopted name “The Singing Sands”.
