My Year of the Book - Day 30: I couldn’t resist dropping this book in on Day 30. I have NEVER been a diet person, and that is exactly what the Whole 30 is NOT. My wife and I finally committed to following this approach to food and eating last summer at the strong urging of our oldest daughter, and all I can say is a humble thank you...to her (of course) and to authors and Whole 30 gurus Melissa and Dallas Hartwig. Now, nearly seven months later, we’re still following a version of it, having learned what we needed to in that 30 Days of...well...let’s call it ”discovery.” :) It was tough to cut out some of what had become our staple foods, but we wouldn’t change a thing. I won’t go on and on about how I’m back to my college waist size, because that will make it sound like a diet. Suffice to say that we get it now, and we’re planning to stick to it as closely as possible going forward.
