Damn doctors. They put me on sertraline for my ptsd and depression. On sertraline my libido drops to zero. Not sure what is worse being horny all the time or not at all. I know I have a lot more fun when I was horny all the time.

If you going to be in charge of obtaining your medication that you're taking for something chronic (depression, anxiety, chronic pain, etc). You Need to know about the drugs you are taking.

Yes, for the side effects, but also because you will be trying to get them through people who won't know.

I'm on four controlled substances which require you to call the doctors office to transfer the prescription. I had to explain why I needed to call the doctors office to transfer a prescription and not the pharmacy because receptionists don't need to know much about drugs.

I have been prescribed so many types of needles that I could not use for the medication I need them for. The last time they went wrong the pharmacist called the doctors office and someone else, not my doctor, told them that a different type of needle will work. Safe to say that it does not, and you need to explain why it does not to the pharmacist who already has your original prescription and instructions.

You need to know the names of your drugs to know what to tell your doctor what you are taking. You need to know them so that way the doctor can delete the old ones from your charts.

You need to know them because while my situation is a bit more complex than just picking up anti depressants, my medications are still ridiculously common.

And this is coming from someone who has had these issues in an area that is mainly white and upper middle class. If you are not in that kind of area, then you will have an even harder time getting your medications filled.

Please, learn and know about your medications.
