So the description of The Legend of The Blue Sea states a time travelling mermaid from the joseon era... what if Shim Chung went to the 21st century before she met Dam Ryeong in the past and thats why she could speak there and she didnt know it... but then she went back to the Joseon era and what we are seeing as fladhbacks are actually flash forwards for her. However, it doesnt account for young Se Hwa unless she met Dam Ryeong somehow ended up in the 21st century before she re met him and returned to her original time to when they are adults. But Dam Ryeong is having dreams of the future.
