It’s been a long time. Hey everyone.

Life’s been... happening. Far more than I want to get into, to say the least.

I’ve been recently inspired to get back into the game somewhat, and with that came the desire to get back into the creativity that is custom magic cards.

Each of these designs was based on trying to take a similar, existing idea, and push it to a new boundary in an interesting way that you might not immediately expect the color to be able to do.

I have a second template I can use for Shimmering Field in case the current one isn’t functional, but I’m inclined to believe it is. The second template doesn’t use symbols, so it might be better for decks that care about color identity.

Harvest Pyre Nahiri’s Wrath Oboro Breezecaller

The first two are pretty jank but are a great laugh. The last one is potentially tournament playable, maybe even FNM winnable.

DamnYouModoShuffler’s Custom Story Timeline

This is the ‘canon’ timeline for the blocks and sets in my custom story arc. Some of these are very far down the road, but enjoy the teaser and have fun speculating on the story!

Note that these sets ignore all canon MtG created by Wizards of the Coast after Dragons of Tarkir. It is likely that Magic Origins will be accepted canon in my custom universe, but Battle For Zendikar will likely take a completely different path on a crucial part in my story (the identity and purpose of the Eldrazi, along with their creator and their plan, for one.)

As my story plans are different and likely cannot accommodate for Wizards of the Coast’s differing story ideas and plans, it is in everyone’s best interest if we consider the stories to be in two entirely different entities after Magic Origins. In one Magic the Gathering existence, the next set is Battle for Zendikar. And in the other the next set is Hellbound.

There are a few juicy bits of information in here, as well as a reveal I and several others here should be pleased to see!

Custom Card Keyword Collection

Nice alliteration, eh?

Anyway, I've seen a lot of custom keywords and ability words posted here. Unfortunately, most of them are only attached to a tiny number of cards. Which kind of defeats the purpose of a keyword...the whole idea behind keywording something is that you can use the mechanic again and again.

So I went looking and gathered up all the Tumblr keywords I could find. I figure they'll be more likely to see further use if they're not buried beneath thousands of other posts.

If you want to use one of the mechanics that I created, go for it. If someone else made it, it'd be polite to ask them.

I might eventually sort these, and add proper explanations to them. But right now I can't be bothered.
