I headcanon Soda with dyslexia. But boy, does he love writing. It’s basically one of his only escapes. He writes his feelings down because he feels as if he can’t talk to others about his problems. It’s the cliff. It’s what he clings onto. When he met Sandy, he felt him let go of that cliff. Because he knew she would listen. That’s what the pad of paper means. When she’s not there with him, he feels as if there’s no one else to talk to. He doesn’t want to be a burden. So he goes back to the cliff.
