Dan and Phil Survey 2021 in here!
The survey is now out, find it here! It will be open from today, April 2nd to Friday, May 14th. Please note the form is run via Google Forms and you will need to sign in to complete the survey - this is to help ensure it is only taken once. No information will be collected from your account.
Since 2015, we have been running the Dan and Phil Survey to find out more about the phandom, and this is the fifth time we have done this. We have had a truly overwhelming number of responses over the years - over 60,000 responses between the four previous surveys combined!! And now we’re back to dive into our amazing community again and get an idea of who we are, and how it’s changed since 2015. The survey is for everyone who considers themself a fan of Dan and Phil - whether you’ve been here since Day 1, have a room covered in their merch, or just watch them casually, we want to hear from you!
Once the survey is closed, the results will be posted sometime in summer 2021 - follow this blog as we will be posting all the results here.

The Dan and Phil survey is back for 2021!
We have been running the Dan and Phil survey since 2015 and this Friday (April 2nd) we are releasing the survey again for 2021! This is our fifth survey and we hope to get an informed perspective on exactly how Phandom has changed.
Calling all talented phans
We are gearing up to release the Dan and Phil Survey 2018 however we have a few things that we need extra help with before we can and we are looking for your help!
What we are looking for is: - 2-3 people to help with the stats and analyzing of the survey when all the data is in.
- Someone to design us a header and icon for 2018.
If you can help out with either of the above them please send us a message, off anon.
Even if you cannot help with the above, a RT would really help us out to spread the word as much as possible <3

we always intended to make everything public, so you all could see what we were working with and Play with it yourselves if you liked. It was supposed to happen at the end of this all, before we started a new one, but because the correlations are taking so long and I am thinking of starting another survey (stay tuned), I wanted to make this public now.

a few notes about the document:
It’s gargantuan. It will eat up all of your memory. It will freeze. It’s got 2 million cells, and over 25,000 responses. Be patient with it
Not all of the reponses are there. Although we received about 30,000 responses (technically 30,002-oops) -and were able to use those in our graphs fully- there are only about 26,000 there. It’s because we broke google forms with the number of cells of data; and then google deleted our original document-so all we were left with was out backup copy. Still good data, just less of it.
There were some questions where the format made it impossible to properly tabulate/ correlate. This survey was a learning experience. We won’t be making the mistakes we made with those questions in the future
The comments and time stamps columns are missing. some people put comments that could identify them, either irl or online. because of that, we thought it was best to delete it, to make sure everyone was safe. We deleted the time stamps column in case people took them together with their friends and didn’t want them to figure out their answers.
