Weekend Update 31/7
My old laptop had some Windows functionality issues earlier this week and it’s been a test of patience in using it, so needless to say it hasn’t been easy making any updates. Hopefully my usual laptop will be repaired by this week (hopefully) and I’ll be able to actually post again and make additions to the various unfinished tabs. Karyukai News -Hassaku takes place tomorrow (August 1st), although it’s technically today at this point ^^ -Gion Kobu and Miyagawa Cho took part in the Hanagasa Junko this year. Performers for each district were: Gion Kobu: Ichiharu 市晴 of Nakagishi (中支志), Katsusen (佳つ扇) of Odamoto (小田本), Marika (茉利佳) of Tsurui (つる居), Shino (柴乃) of Fukushima (福嶋), Mamesumi (豆純) of Ninben (亻), Mameryū (まめ柳) and Mameharu (まめ春) of Tama (多麻), and Mamechika (豆千佳) of Arai (新井). Miyagawa Cho: Kanako (叶子) of Kawahisa (川久), Fukune (ふく音) of Kawayoshi (河よ志), Fumiyoshi (富美芳) of Yoshifumi (よし冨美), Kimitoyo (君とよ) and Kanayuki (叶幸) of Toshikimi (利きみ), Toshiemi (とし恵美) of Komaya (駒屋), and Fukuhana (ふく英) and Fukutama (ふく珠) of Shigemori (しげ森). Blog News -Not too much due to technical difficulties. -The Random Fact of The Week looked at practice dance fans. -Mylo’s Pick of The Week looked at Fumiyoshi (富美芳) of Yoshifumi (よし冨美) in Miyagawa Cho. -Thank you to everyone who sent in their questions again this week! We had a very lively and critical debate on the topic of mizuage, which I highly recommend that others go back and read it if they haven’t already ^^
