Thank you, one person who voted in the poll! For a hot second I considered using Happy Summer Wedding instead, but decided to use that for a different combo.

Doing a multi-vocal mashup is often a way to paper over the structural differences between the songs involved.
In this case, no matter how great Spice Girls sound over that Dance Man arrangement, it is impossible for me to do a full one-way mashup with that configuration, due to the total lack of a pre-chorus in Wannabe. I had to pilfer the second verse to use for the first round, which is why I did the reverse configuration for the second verse, because I needed the filler.
So, those gigantic megamashups are actually easier to do in many cases than the one-ways, because you can simply cherry-pick the short segments that fit well and ignore the rest, moving on to the next vocal track as necessary.
Over a decade before SMEnt started thinking about critically acclaimed pop that jumped genres between sections, Tsunku and Dance Man were making it look easy.
It is fate! Both have E minor verse and E major chorus. (Although Souda! We're Alive also includes G major for the rock sections.)
Don't stop. Let's bring it back to 121.
Of course, the hard part was the godforsaken tempo-shifting bridge. It went something like 141-161-sliding shift from ~165 to ~220.
When you crash the babe's happy summer wedding
So this didn't quite come out as crack-zany as Pirorin Telephone Babe, but it also doesn't have the world's worst key-change, so.
We started with "Chappell's compositions fuck hard on Yuichi productions" but have somehow landed on "Chappell's compositions fuck hard on Dance Man productions", huh. Now I'm even more morbidly curious if I should try with Ne~e?
H!P fans can play the very fun game "spot the splicing"! SO MUCH SPLICING. You absolutely cannot attempt this in karaoke whatsoever lol
YO WHAT! The "Jersey-Bu Tamashi!" ED to Rinne no Lagrange S2 was composed and arranged by Dance Man!? Even the lyrics!
(Also, I learned that Uta-net is probably a user-created database, as sometimes Dance Man is listed as DANCE☆MAN but other times as ダンス☆マン)
The way the structures perfectly lined up with the extra 4 measures!
Should I do the one-way Feminomenon over RR21 only mashup?
Yes
No
Post-publish clarification: the above one-way mashup would be Feminomenon vocals only over RR21 arrangement only.
Ughhhhhhhhhh okay, so, yes, Tsunku's chorus melody for Souda We're Alive is top tier, it can be transplanted to other settings and retain a fair amount of power, but! DAMMIT the rest of the song works because it has a really clear delineation of genre for each section, so that the clash in each transition generates even more energy. In addition, the Dance Man arrangement is lusciously produced in an important way. That chanting doubles its effectiveness because the mixing and mastering creates a stadium big-space ambience to it, while the funky verses have the space of a live hall, and you can hear the voices going from far to near. The updated version is FLAT. Flat flat flat flat, in every dimension, compressed hard. No transitions, no space, no spirit. Hirata, how did you make this abomination. TTZZ had space in it!
It's October, but it's never too late to remember
This is actually a mashup with Mela! by Ryokuoushoku Shakai
