Just came back from kicking it with Diamond D's Red Bull Music Academy joint where he discussed the finer points of hip hop, his career and production. Joe Smooth (Chicago House Legend) just happened to be in the audience. And to my surprise, it was his studio taping the event. The interview was positive and Diamond is a cool dud. So as Jesse De La Pena concluded the interview; I thought to myself -- why did I became a hip hop focused producer instead of a house music producer? Right in the room were two opposite spectrum's of the industry and contrasting genres with various accomplishments to note.

TO BE CONTINUED  I want to expand on this because I think I found out some things about myself that are relevant to Chicago Hip Hop on a whole.
