Was hoping to wrap this up at the end of the weekend but things got hectic so I finished this up tonight… Lots of balletlock and dancerlock drifted across my dash last week, and I have wanted to have a go. Love the image of a young Sherlock with all his curls and grace and drama working at grand battements at the barre. Also love the image of him conquering London even then (As opposed to my own experience in a basement studio for two semesters in college…).
Definitely returning to this subject in the future. For someone who usually draws faces and gets bored and gives up on everything else (and hence never improves, alas), this study was an exercise in patience and all things I’m not good at. Because why not push a little while I’m still in my muse’s good graces? (She says as she jinxed herself…)
