Day 6 (One day late): How I became a Hiddlestoner
What is it they say in The Fault in Our Stars? “It was like falling asleep. Slowly at first, and then all at once”?
It was a bit like that for me. I’ve been lurking on Tumblr for a while, because I'd found some amazing Prince Harry fanfiction (I know, I know) and had also fallen in love with Jamie Dornan (before those movies I won’t name. I KNOW).
I created a blog and was quite happy with my little crush for those two and the amazing stories I could read. And then suddenly, another blog started to throw in some pics of this other guy who apparently played Loki in the Thor movies. I remembered that a former co-worker had told me all about the movies with this Tom Hiddleston. With horses in one, and him showing his butt in another one. And oh, have you seen this?
The first gif of Tom I’ve reblogged was this and it was on 12th May 2016... (quite fitting now, huh @pipolaki ?)
All bets were off at that point. I watched him being Loki and Comic Con, I watched Thor and Avengers again, watched Only Lovers Left Alive, Crimson Peak, The Hollow Crown and all the others. Plus, I watched the interviews and little bits he did. Popcorn Taxi, the Slumber Party and Chatty Man were my doom. And Top Gear. And btw, this falling in love thing really works...
And I stayed. Because even at times with less new content, there’s always something to pull you back, even if it's just Tom in a gorilla suit.
And eventually, I saw him live during Betrayal and got to meet the wonderful @winterisakiller and @finchbaggins .
I think I’ll stay for a while, even if it's just for the beautiful people I’ve met through this (you know who you are).
Beware of Party Hiddles 😆
