Smoke

To some, the scent of smoke was a warning, telling them that a fire must have been growing somewhere in the distance. But to Isa, the scent of smoke was nothing if not soothing. Just a short inhale would instantly calm the boy’s nerves. Some thought it was a strange association but, to Isa it made perfect sense; his best friend often had at least a small trace of smoke on his skin and with that came a slight addiction on the blunet’s part – not that he would ever admit that to anyone.
