COME ONE, COME TWO COME ALL…

A student of unique talents, you are accepted to attend a very prestigious Academy! You’ve waited so long to hear you were noticed, and the day has finally come! At least, that’s what you think until you wake up in an eerie looking fair ground. On your person lies a card that identifies a specific sin (of the 7 deadly sins). What is this on about?  Who are the others lying there?  As you begin to walk around, the area in itself seems harmless at best. The clowns and mascots point you to any which way you must go, the signs also offer clear directions. There’s even a dining room, which is free to special guests! As you glance at your ticket again, you notice that you are more than a mere ‘special’ guest, but part of the show as well! And the show must go on, as they say!  At the same token, there’s something off about this place. There are guests who aren’t students, but they cannot see you if you accidentally bump into them. Furthermore, they are faceless. Like one’s own shadow, following behind without reason. If that wasn’t enough, when you attempt to pull the gates at the front loose, a few very stern looking guards pull you away. They explain that you can’t escape. Not until you go to the main attraction! Said main attraction is supposed to show up in a good 5 minutes, so you’d better hurry! You don’t want to lose a seat, do you? Besides, it would be rather rude to skip something that you, as a guest were offered for free, correct?  …At the same time, as you walk towards this ‘show’, the hostile manner at which the guards kept you from escaping has left you unnerved. Why do they need you to see this show so badly? Why are they keeping you here?  So yes…this will be an interesting rp with elements of Dangan Ronpa, The Devil’s Carnival, Aesop’s Fables and the seven deadly sins. Will you help us create a story? We want to play a game...

The carnies were very pleased to see everyone enjoying the bath house, but having a squeaky clean fun time wasn't what this circus was all about. the fact the students were getting so palsy with one another was absolutely disappointing, it's like they seemed to have forgotten why they were here. The carnies figured the best way to bring out that proper side of everyone was with a special new motive! A shiny new one! One with an exemplary reward.

The unlocked a rusty gate that had surrounded a building for some time now. As the lights flickered on for the building a big neon sign read out 'ARCADE', and in clear view are plenty of games; old and new, some ranging from the days of Galaga and Space Ace while others seem so brand spanking new you could swear the game wasn't even released yet.

"For your amusement!" A carnie said happily,  "We have a special prize in regards to this machine!"

The carnie pointed out an arcade machine that had been set up with the classic and well-known game of Tetris, beside it was what appeared to be a birdcage with a cloth draped over it.

"Inside that cage is something you'll want to see! Heck maybe it'll remind you of the fact you have fully good reason to kill anyone here!" The carnie giggled, surely a wicked smile behind his mask. "Honest! But if you don't believe me just beat the high score of 8000 and see for yourself~"

Time to wash those sins away...

The carnies began to prance around outside, at first in random patterns before assembling side by side to make a loose guided pathway, like some sort of mock procession, each having a mop or trumpet or stick or something to point out into the air, forming their own crazy ramshackle arch. One of them stepped forward and hopped onto a nearby soap box, they still had those to stand on? He looked like a clown fallen on hard times, makeup and grease paint fresh, but clothes looking baggy and threadbare. Or were they artfully that way?

“Oh my, oh my, a penny for a beggar man to tell you a tale? No? Well it was worth a try.  You kids gave us such a good laugh with all that killing and finger pointing; we decided to give you a gift! Namely, access to the bath house! Isn't that just grand? Dime or a penny to tell you more? No? Well it was worth a try…”

Getting down he re-joined the others, thrusting a tin cup of change into the air to finish the arch as they all giggled behind their hands, or right in the faces of the kids passing by…

The Carnies are restless

As the days pass by the carnies begin to seem a little on edge, constantly excited and keeping an eye on the students more than usual. Whatever has them riled up surely has to do with the students stuck at the carnival, it is the only explanation for such undivided attention. Could it be they know something they don't?

But they already know quite a lot the children don't.

So what could it be?

(OOC: The first trial is soon, this Friday really! Presently there isn't a decided time but for now try to keep that date open! If we can figure out a precise time we'll let you know!)

Hmm...

Matthew sat up, he realized he couldnt sleep very well even though he was greatly tired. He slipped on his boots and grabbed his shirt and slipped it on as well. He put on his patch. Since he couldnt sleep he figured he would do some wandering around to check out their dorm area, and see what everyone else was up to.

He walked over to the door. He felt for his knife and realized it was still attached to his side; which was a good thing he supposed for now. Not like he really needed to use it anyways. he had his brute force for that. He shrugged his shoulders, grabbed the doorknob and walked out for a breather.

He went out into the hallway a bit of the way, on guard and saw some people in the hallway nearby. He stood there leaning against the wall, near his door observing the people down the hall for their behavior. He noticed they were talking about weapons. He then walked over to one of them and said sternly, not feeling as tired anymore "So I take it you have a weapon as well now?" he asks questioningly waiting for the persons reply.

The carnies are here! Quiver in fear!

A good hour or two passed. Upon Yoite Kasai's mention of it, a group of carnies in various clown costumes danced around the carousel! Their laughter fell upon the ears of every student in the area as they arrived. One of them, a clown with a sad expression, turned the carousel off. Even as one event ended, a new event was about to begin! After all, they were at a carnival. Could the 'fun' really end there?! As soon as the ride stopped, the carnies began to uncuff those who were still on the ride. To those who weren't cuffed any longer however, the carnies felt the need to antagonize them! Do you really think you could escape without their notice? You're the special guests, after all! Everyone has their eye on you! Those few who managed to escape the carousel prematurely received envelopes that had 'Loser' written in blood red ink.  As for those cuffed, they received an enveloped that had the words 'winner' written in blood red ink. What the hell separated the two, exactly? Winners and Losers of what? If you asked a carnies, they might answer, but of course, they could also be lying. Could you take a bunch of crazy antagonizing carnies that seriously?  Regardless of 'winner' or 'loser' status, you find a pair of keys labeled 'bedrooms', as well as your electronic student id card from Hope's Peak. The only difference of course, is that these now have nothing but the carnival rules:  1) You will not be permitted to leave.  2) The only way one could leave is if you successfully become a carnie yourself, or kill another student without issue 3) You may notice that something precious to you is lost. Do not be alarmed! It is missing because you haven't earned it yet, but your things are safely in our possession.  4) We have cut off all forms of communication. Don't even try to ask for help.  5) More rules may apply.  The carnies were there still, displaying different expressions each. They would have more instruction, but good luck having a serious conversation with them.  And now everything has really started, more or less! Another event should come shortly. You're in the DANGAN'S CARNIVAL~

There were fourteen students in all. Fourteen young adults who were all invited to spend a day at the biggest attraction near Hope's Peak Academy: A carnival, meant to amaze! The carnival known as The Apelpisía! Once every year in the fall, this carnival came to town, near Hope's Peak in order to wow their audience! Even so, like the school, only a select class were ever invited to attend.  Rumor had it that these people were selected by top scores at school. Others would say that it depended upon their Super High School Level Title. Whatever the case, this was a tradition, which went on ever since the school was open to special Super High School Level Students. Was this a treat to those who worked hard, or a trick for those who were unfaithful to the school? Well, hopefully this new batch of students would find out!  The fourteen woke up to flashing lights and loud sound on a carousel. Each had a ticket in their pocket, along with a specific sin. As they awoke, many were alarmed, while some may have even appreciated this situation. They had memories of the school, but not of the students sitting on separate porcelain horses around them. And of course, they had no memories of how they came to be here either, save for the opportunity to attend alone.  But how would they react? Would everything be alright? Oh, and wait a minute! Why the hell were they handcuffed to the damned horses?  Welcome Students, to the Dangan's Carnival! Here's your mission, if you choose to accept it:  In a separate post, introduce yourselves to the others, react to your predicament. Ok so:

After looking at the chars sins so far, we found that we have too many of certain sins. We'll discuss what needs to be changed tomorrow afternoon or so however, so please don't feel discouraged or anything. All will be fine! <3  ~Brekkie
